Legendary Medium Rare offers a unique, $28.95prix fixe dinning experience of artisan bread; a mixed green salad; prime, dry-aged steak; and hand-cut fries (Vegetarian option always available) in a relaxed, fun, environment. Please allow us 15 minutes to seat you after your full party has arrived and after checkin at our host stand. As we do only one thing, we do our best to make the food and experience exceptional and also a good value. We also serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday's with a great prix fixe including French Toast, Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict and bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Screwdrivers. WALK INS and CALL AHEAD seating are always welcomed.

    This place gets busy and is very small so definitely make sure to make a reservation and show up on time. The food here is delicious and such a deal for the price. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive during a crazy packed night. We loved coming here and will be back.

    This was my first visit to this restaurant. I believe it was fashioned after a small chain of Parisian bistrots called Le Relais de entrecote. The format is exactly the same. Having eaten in the Parisian version several dozen times I was curious how this would compare. They did well. I thought Medium Rare’s beef was exceptionally good and it came out exactly as I ordered it. We split a piece of Carrot cake for dessert, it’s too much for one person. It was seriously good. There was an appropriate selection of wines by the glass and considering this was the People’s Republic of Montgomery County the wine price was reasonable. The service was friendly, competent and attentive. The overall pricing was not inexpensive but considering all you get I found it to be a bargain. We will be back!

    Had a wonder meal at Medium Rare. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and packed with flavor. The service was attentive with that be overbearing. And the atmosphere was cozy elegant. Definitely a place to visit if you’re craving great cut of meat. The pumpkin cake was my favorite part!

    The bread is good. Loud, food & service is fair. Tables are jammed in & ridiculously loud. Would not go again.

    Our server was outstanding offering good non -beef options and efficient. The bottomless drink offer during brunch makes it easily a great value even though we only had one alcoholic drink but instead had more coffee. The beef and mushroom were cooked perfectly and scrumptious to eat. We are definitely returning to the MediumRare in Bethesda.

    The food was excellent as always. The time to get drinks was slow, we had our food before our drinks. Our server was a tad forgetful and was confused when other servers brought us bread, etc. Overall we love MR, but the service could be a bit better.

    Medium Rare is always a winner with our family for dinner. Our server this evening was Cameron. Cameron was very professional and also very personable. The service was great as was the dinner. We had an out of town guest with us and he was quite impressed with the entire dinner and the presentation. (One teeny suggestion; less whipped cream on the hot fudge sundae, but it was delicious.) ☺️

    We love Medium Rare - I live out of town and visit the DC area once a month. The first thing I do after I land is go straight to Meduim Rare. The service is Phenomenaln - everyone from the front desk to the busboy are attentive and polite. The food is consitently very good, and the value is amazing - and then the second helpings show up! It's always a great evening.
