The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

Lovely waitress and good amount of attention. Music to loud. Food interesting and tasty. Nice visit.

The food was exceptional. The carrots are a must have! We weren’t too hot about the crispy potatoes but overall an amazing dining experience. The team was excellent as well (shout out to Tom) and made our anniversary special.

Expensive halibut was badly overcooked. Waiter took it back. 2nd attempt not much better

Our first dining experience at Melina was nothing less than exquisite. We were celebrating my son's birthday and our meals could not have been better. Both delicious and beautifully presented. What made this especially special was our waiter Justin. He was magical in his presentation of our food and drinks. His sparkling personality was warm and charming. Justin should be the gold standard of service. We look forward to returning again and again.

Tried to enjoy catching up with relatives and could barely hear ( couldn’t even hear the server!). Was too loud, and table location was cold and too dark to even really see food. Ordered $28 lamb kebab that was so small and without rice or veggies. Was tasty but left hungry.!

The food and service are excellent. Dinner and drinks for two was reasonably priced and literally everything was somewhere between "very good" and "holy cow, TRY THIS!"

The restaurant was great as usual, but some dishes weren’t quite as good as we’ve had before — including the roasted lamb neck, which was tasteless outside of the sauce. The standout dish was the Tahini Miso Cauliflower. One surprisingly excellent dish was the frozen yogurt dessert. Also good were the crispy potatoes and fresh bread and roasted pepper (I think) dip. We sat at the front of restaurant, which was a bit cold at times as people went in out, and doesn’t have the ambience of the back area. The service was outstanding — our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. So our experience was very good, but not outstanding as we’ve been accustomed to there. Nevertheless, Melina remains one our favorite restaurants in the area and we will certainly be back.

Another wonderful experience at Melina. Service was top notch, food was excellent. It’s a well-run restaurant. Pricey? A bit, but what isn’t these days? The food is so good that it makes it worth a few extra bucks. No wonder it’s hard to get a reservation!
