   We have been to Melograno many times, but It has been awhile since we visited,and decided to go back with another couple to celebrate our friend’s birthday. In the past, the food was never great, but was always good, and there was always a fun atmosphere. This evening we found the food to be over salted and some of the dishes otherwise tasteless. We had an issue with the birthday dessert we ordered and it was brought to manager’s attention. His response was beyond rude, when he could have just apologized for the mix-up. There are too many very good restaurants in Center City to have to put up with rudeness from a manager. We wont be back.

   Our food was absolutely delicious…the mushroom tartufate was an absolute highlight. Service was helpful and efficient and the ambiance was lovely, too.

   Second time at Melagrano and it was as good or better than our first. Very warm welcome from host/manager who was attentive throughout the evening. We believe this is one of the best values in center city. The food is phenomenal and the pricing very fair. The Tuna carpacio was excellent. A melon, proscuitto mozzerella carpacio special was outstanding. Both appetizers the flavors melted in your mouth. The Duck ragu pasta was yummie. The fettucini special with zucchini, mushrooms, Italian ham and olive oil was very good. Finished off the dinner with a shared chocolate pot de creme which was intensely rich and delicious. Our server was attentive & pleasant despite having many tables . We will be back. Over the past 20+ years we have latched onto what we deem to be go to restaurants, i.e. Meza Luna and Bistrot St Tropez. We think Melagrano will become our next go to restaurant.

   Delicious first visit to Melograno. Service was outstanding. Energetic vibe. Door was outstanding. Courses included a fried burrata, pasta special (amazing), and chicken covered with tomato, arugula, & mozzarella. It’s BYOB so we brought a bottle of Pinot. Can’t wait return.

   My son and I were lucky to get a table at the last minute on a Saturday night! Every table was full when we got there. It was very lively and a little noisy. The food was excellent. I had the beet ravioli! They were EXCELLENT!! We both enjoyed the Burratta. My son had a pasta dish, I forget the name. It had crab meat and a cream sauce. He enjoyed it but really preferred my ravioli, after he tasted them. There was meter parking right on the street.

   The food was fantastic and the ambience was amazing. The service was good, not great. Overall we definitely recommend.

   The staff are superb here, and we were charmed from the moment we arrived. The food was just as superb, and impressed all six of us foodies who travel to Italy every year. The service was perfect, and all in all it made for a wonderful evening. All six of us were impressed and plan to return. We loved that it was a BYOB, and they do have ice buckets for white wines or champagne. Honestly it could not have been improved upon and we are food AND restaurant snobs!
