   Risotto & escargot were absolutely delicious. Sablefish was ok. Good quality but not memorable. Wonderful wine selection. Service was poor unfortunately, our server was inattentive, had to be waved over to take our order and to give us the bill, and cleared plates without asking if we were finished (I wasn’t!)

   We dined here on Mother’s Day and were told we had to leave within 1.5 hours multiple times from the beginning till the end. The server was rude and arrogant. I got beef bourguignon and it was like someone quickly cooked the meat and threw in the sauce. Beef Bourguignon is supposed to melt in your mouth. The meat was so tough and dry I had a hard time chewing it. The woman eating steak at the table next to us was struggling with her steak. My son’s burger was so bad he took one bite and left it. I went to change our baby in the bathroom and two people walked into the bathroom while I was there. Maybe put a bit more time into fixing your food and the bathroom lock instead of pestering your guests to leave. I couldn’t even finish my drink because our time was up at 1 hour and 20 minutes. What a great way to celebrate mothers today.

Your reservation was at 12:30 PM on Mother’s Day, one of our busiest days of the year. While only 2 of your 5 guests arrived on time, with the rest at 1:00 PM, our team generously & exceptionally seated your group, despite restaurant's policy of seating only complete parties during peak hours to maintain smooth service for all. But our staff also informed you of the time limit on your table. Regarding the food, our servers noted that finished plates were cleared without mention of concerns.    I had an amazing dining experience at Mereon restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. I had the beef bourguinon which was perfectly cooked! The meat practically melts in your mouth, nestled in a red wine sauce that’s earthy and complex without being overpowering. You can tell they put a lot of care into both their food and customer experience. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing friends! Highly recommend Mereon to anyone looking for great French cuisine.

   After an absence of several months, I took a party of four to Mereon for brunch. The restaurant did not disapoint. Superb service, and excellent cuisine.

   A limited menu which I think allows each dish to be very nicely done. Small, very pretty room, perhaps one or two less tables would make it a bit quieter. Will definitely return.
