Merridee's Breadbasket is a bakery and restaurant located in downtown Franklin, TN. Merridee McCray, the founder of Merridee’s Breadbasket, grew up baking breads, pies, and sweets from scratch with her mother. It was a tradition passed on to her by her grandmother, Anna Maria Faust, who once served as head cook for the Pillsbury family. Jim Kreider bought Merridee's in 1993. He and his exceptional team are still making everything from scratch.

We were escorted to a dirty table with no offer to wipe it down. From there the service was average but that seems to be the norm these days. Both the chicken and the salmon were over cooked. Clearly this is your spot for baked goods but not for dinner.

Went for dinner.....it was ok. My salmon dinner had way too much oil. It should be a little telling when the 2 restaurants on either side were packed and we weren’t. But cute country diner feeling inside.

We love Merridees for breakfast and lunch. This was our first dinner experience—it was ok. Service was slow & server seemed a bit scattered (which was interesting as she was training a new person??) dessert—the classic molasses cookie—was the best part!

I love merridees lunch but their dinner was very disappointing. The burger and bread was dried out with not a lot of flavor. The apps were extremely small too. I will stick to lunch here.

Great overall dining experience at Merridee’s for dinner. We were a little skeptical about booking for dinner, since they’re known more for their excellent breakfast. We weren’t disappointed.
