Dine at the most breathtaking oceanfront setting in Kapalua Resort. Peter Merriman Chef/Restauranteur has brought his unique style of Hawaii Regional Cuisine to Maui. A pioneer in the “Farm to Table” concept, Peter serves only the freshest products, at least 90% of which are locally grown or caught, using only sustainable methods.

Reservations are released 60 days prior at 6am HST. This includes all holidays. Although we cannot accommodate parties larger than 8 people or split reservations in our main dining room, we do have other options available. Please email reservations@merrimanshawaii.com for groups larger than 8 people.

For a more casual dining experience, join us at The Point, our oceanside dining location offering a casual menu. The Point opens daily at 4pm, weather depending. Reservations are not needed or accepted for The Point. Happy Hour is from 4pm to 530pm at the Point and Bar.

This was our tenth time at Merriman’s and it did not disappoint! We had a beautiful table with romantic ocean view. Lisa our waiter was responsive and attentive, making sure we enjoyed our special evening. The food was delicious, I throughly enjoyed my Moroccan spiced shrimp and clams. And best chocolate martini ever!

An absolutely wonderful experience, from the atmosphere to the service to the food. Our waiter, Dave, was fun, knowledgeable, and efficient. My wife had the lobster tail and loved it. I had the filet, and it had such a strong and pronounced beef flavor. I was thrilled. Everything on Maui is expensive, but this place is absolutely worth every dime.

Alexis and staff were amazing! If you are looking for an amazing dining experience, you have found the proper place! The poke, ahi, and mahi mahi were all on point. Highly recommended!!

Outstanding evening at this top notch restaurant. Amazing setting and views; delicious, fresh food cooked to perfection. An expensive night out but a great “special occasion” spot.

As always, amazing experience. The view here is incredible. I have been to almost every Merriman’s and it never disappoints. I always look forward to it.

My family and I were excited to have dinner at Merriman’s — supposedly the dining highlight of our trip. Only to be sorely disappointed by tortured food from a generation ago. To be fair, our server was lovely, the view was spectacular, and the valet guys were great (valet is the only option). These things couldnt possibly make up for the letdown of the food nor the hefty price tag — $300 for two entrees, one appetizer, two cocktails, and $10 pasta from the keiki menu. We were greeted with a gross “amuse bouche” mushroom thing in a shot glass. It was lukewarm, bland and tasted exactly like Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup. It might have been. And, for reasons unknown, mushrooms were a feature in every overdone fish dish, turning what could have been decent dishes into oddities that just tasted bad. Other seafood was weighed down with ingredients that didn’t fit like za’tar spice. I love these ingredients. I hated the way Merriman’s used them to make fresh food worse. They also leaned in hard to outdated ‘80s hits like buerre blanc and blackened fish. I had the macadamia crusted fish. And even with the sauce on the side, the beautiful fish was tortured and greasy. My husband had charred ahi and the char was so overpowering it drowned out the subtle ahi taste. The sides were even more lackluster. Undercooked and overly greasy broccoli and rice stuffed into a triangle mold (dear lord, molds?!) with some sort of relish on top — no discernible common theme across these odd ingredients. We just didn’t get it. Why wasn’t there a perfectly cooked grilled fish with lemon on the menu? Keep it basic when you’ve got the best ingredients at your fingertips! At least the fish would have died for worthy preparation. We left the restaurant with the sad realization that our kid’s bow tie pasta was the best meal of the evening. Bottom line: if you’re expecting a fresh, quality meal and good cooking, search elsewhere.
