There on Valentine's Day. First time visit. Love that we could use Open Table to make reservations. The food was outstanding, steaks cooked the way we requested. Table lighting was a little too bright. Waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive without overdoing it. Definitely recommend this restaurant!! We will be back.

I took my lady friend to Michael's for a Valentine's celebration. We arrived on time and were seated at our table immediately. The ambience was great, very romantic. For starters, we had the crab claws which were delicious. My lady ordered the scallops for her entree, and I had the salmon. Both tasted great. The wait time to receive the food was too long, so the manager gave us a by one entree, get the other for free which I thought was very kind. I definitely recommend Michael's. Great restaurant, great ambience, delicious food. I'm going back for sure.

The food was good. The steak Delmonico was great. The service was totally chaotic to be honest. Our server was nice and tried her best. To list the issues: 1. Had reservation, and still waited 10 minutes. 2. No menus given when we were sat. 3. Waited 17 minutes before grabbing a waitress walking by to let them know we hadn't been addressed yet. 4. Salad came with no salad dressing...had to ask another 3 servers/runners for the dressing before it came out. 5. Water was spilled on the floor where people walk, and wasn't cleaned up for 20 minutes. 6. The tables were inches from each other where we were sat. For the price, we were very disappointed. Other diners near us expressed dissatisfaction as well. Again, our waitress was very nice and apologetic. Not even sure she was supposed to be serving our table, but she did after we grabbed her.

Usually one of our favorite restaurants, the food this particular night was terrible. From the lobster bisque to the so called filet. We will not be back on a busy Saturday night.

Server Jason friendly and knowledgable. Butt steak a little tough and over-cooked. Crab cake institutional and cooked from frozen.

We were thrilled to be in Birmingham for Winter Restaraunt Week. After perusing the menus we agreed that Michaels sounded good. The special menu was wonderful! Soup or salad - Steve had soup and I had the Caesaer. Steve had Shrimp & Grits and I had the Rack of Lamb. Excellent! I stole his grilled asparagus. Dessert was included. I can't remember what we had, besides WINE! We loved Michaels and would return.
