We understand and expected the NYE was going to be busy, however waiting for an actual reservation made in advance for a full hour after our scheduled time is just unacceptable on NYE. There’s clearly a limit on the reservation notes but wasnt followed or enforced. It really frustrated us and we were ready to leave—Food was great, service got better but poor planning and preparation really took over the whole experience. Hopefully it gets better for the future major holidays!

Second time visiting and will be back at some point. Great food , friendly and fast service. The decor and ambience is excellent. Highly recommended.

It was my first time there! And we had a reservation and they were able to see us early, I loved the ambience. They had the game playing, but it still felt like I could still have a conversation with my table

Sandy made our evening delightful! We all ordered different items, and all of them were great. My favorite was the mole chicken. And I loved the dairy-free tortilla soup.

My family's first time eating at Mijo. Since it was Christmas day, I made reservations 3 weeks in advance for a table for four at 6:45 PM (earliest reservations). We arrived 40 minutes early and informed the hosts we were here for a 6:45 PM reservations. They verified that I had reservations for that time. They advised for me to return about 10 minutes prior to my reservations. Which I did. However, they said they were a little behind on reservations, about 15 - 20 minutes. So we waited. At around 7:30 PM I checked again, and they apologized and said it would be another 30 minutes. By this time, I was very upset and said to them this was totally unsatisfactory. So, fortunately they were seats open at the bar that we could oder off the menu, so I took my wife, daughter and son to sit at the bar to have our Christmas dinner. Aside from this reservation snafu, I must say that the service the bartender provided was outstanding and the food was very good - I highly recommend this restaurant. In the middle of our meal the host came looking for me to tell me that my table was ready - at round 8:30 PM!!!

We were ignored by the server numerous times. We waited over 20 minutes to place a drink order and it was another 20 before the server returned for us to place our food order. The noise level was loud. We were a party of 4 in a booth and couldn’t carry on a conversation with each other. The food was good but the experience overall was not a positive one.

Great food. Slow service. Dark ambiance with a good vibe. Octopus was fire.
