Un posto magnifico: una piccola oasi dal sapore francese a Rancho Santa Fe. Il cibo raffinato e gustoso, il personale molto gentile e attento. Ho incontrato un maitre italiano molto simpatico che ha rallegrato ancora di più la serata. Grazie

In our reservation booking online they asked if we were celebrating anything special, so we told them it was our wedding anniversary. Sadly, they never acknowledged it during our dinner. The light bulb in the ceiling above that was lighting our table was flickering badly and turning off and on. We mentioned it 3 times yet nothing was done. It was so irritating to the eyes that we finally asked if they could move us. So they did. I wish they would have moved us the first or second time we pointed out what was happening, yet nothing was done until the fourth time when we had to ask to move. It seems our captain was not getting good intel from his runners or bussers or waiter of whom all three we informed. Our next issue were the portions. If you order the deviled eggs as an appetizer, be prepared, you get 1.5 eggs, or 3 halves. For a party of 2 that means one person gets 2 and the other gets one. They should give 4 halves instead, or lower the price. They were very tasty though. The squash agnolotti was pitiful, 5 of the tiniest raviolis, and the filling was flavorless with a baby food texture. The homemade baguette we ordered consisted of two 3 inch rolls that were quite hard on the outside. Would not order again. We were pretty insulted by this point of the meal, receiving very tiny quantities of food at full plate prices. My husband greatly enjoyed his beef Wellington, though the accompanying asparagus is not in season in the winter so it was shipped in from God knows where. Why would they not use seasonal vegetables? For goodness sake, Chino Farms is a couple blocks from here. There is an absolute bounty of local winter produce to choose from. It seems the chef is completely uninterested in serving his guests seasonal, regional vegetables. My 1/2 portion of dover sole was good, but if I had to do it over again I would have ordered the full portion as I was still hungry. It is swimming in a pond of melted butter.

Mille Fleurs is a wonderful place to have Christmas Day dinner! The decorations were beautiful, the menu selection vast, and the service excellent as always. They had some seasonal offerings like pumpkin agnolotti and lobster risotto that were exceptional.

Our Christmas Meal was delicious. A few highlight were the escargot, lobster salad, Dover sole and everyone loved the apple streudel.

Perfect place for our traditional Christmas lunch. We’ve been going to this fabulous restaurant for four consecutive years. And never been disappointed.
