It was good! Seems more Indian x Chinese infusion than purely Chinese!

Came for the early evening menu but it was not put on our table so had to ask. When we enquired, the staff implied they were instead doing the CNY menu. The CNY menu was much longer and more expensive and we didn’t have time for it. Luckily the staff found the menu and were happy to oblige, but it felt a bit strange to not have it on the table for a 5:30pm booking. Food was lovely and staff were helpful in rushing us through to get to our theatre show on time.

Unfortunately, at the end of the dinner, a rat appeared in the dining area. We informed the staff, but they didn’t do anything.

We had a reservation for 10.15pm we arrived at 10.20. The staff were very friendly but kitchen was closing at 10.30 and we were rushed to order. Good thing we checked the venue before arriving. Our waiter was super friendly and explained some of the dishes really well. But ultimately we were told we needed to order within 5 mins. A restaurant shouldn’t take bookings 15 min before kitchen closes, it’s just not logical. The beef came out lukewarm and my friends dish came out undercooked she asked for it to be redone, which the second waiter, bless him, super nice guy, confirmed he had made the dish himself… I’m guessing the chefs had to go home but we were not expecting that from a Mayfair restaurant. We’ve eaten in plenty of nice restaurants in London and globally and this would have to be the most mediocre over priced Chinese restaurant I’ve experienced.

It would’ve been a perfect meal, had it not been for the waiter who told us that they don’t have small glasses to serve white wine in the whole of the restaurant! So he insisted on serving the chilled white wine in large red wine goblets until we pestered another server and she happily went and got them ! No reason for anyone to not have the correct etiquette in a Mayfair restaurant! Simply lazy or he didn’t think we were worthy enough to make an effort.

Extortionate pricing for decent food and lackluster service. Not anything remotely worth the enormous sum paid.

Another wonderful meal with great service. We had a favorite booth in the ground floor dining room and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Absolutely impeccable food and service in a cozy / warm environment. Peking Duck and Singapore Chili Prawns are “11” out of “10”.

Overall we had a good experience. They don’t offer halal options anymore. Not sure why. Opted for vegetarian. Okra & aubergine with haka noodles & egg fried rice. The food was good quality, and portions were a decent size. But we weren’t blown away by the food - which is what I would expect considering the prices being charged here. I would not say it was value for money. Service was standard as you would get at most establishments - no complaints. I feel I mainly paid for rent & decor.
