We are open! Come and join us and check out our beautiful new bar and dining area.
The foundation of good Italian cooking is the freshest of ingredients prepared with simplicity, bringing together flavors so no one ingredient overpowers another. Mimmo’s Italian roots begin in his hometown of Bagheria, Sicily. The fresh fruits and vegetables picked from his family’s farm were on the table, or tavola, that night. Our logo of the lemon and lemon flower, or zagara, is a symbol of Sicily’s rich history of growing and exporting lemons, and a reminder of Mimmo’s many memories of lemon picking in his grandfather’s groves. APRIL 30TH 2012 WAS OUR OPENING DAY.

                                                                                                                We visit the Palm Desert area at least twice a year. We discovered Mimmo’s about 10 years ago and when in town make our way there for a delicious meal every time. Even our kids and the friends who have with us love their meal. The food is amazing, the hospitality from the time one walks in, being welcomed by the owner, our favorite waiter, Joey, and all the staff in their detailed service makes this a favorite spot for us when we are in the area. The flavors and the options available since I am gluten free, are delectable! We highly recommend a visit! I can assure you will be back.

                                                                                                                Dishes were quite good, one pasta dish was really good and others just basic. We did not care for the expansion room - would prefer main dining area.

                                                                                                                We’ve been to Mimmo’s several times and in fact before last night, we celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Last night was a different experience. The difference was we were a party of 6, and the service could have been better. The main waiter was distracted and couldn’t remember twice if he told us the specials. The main entrees were brought while we were still eating our starters and those plates were removed. We were told to take our time. Weird thing to say. Finally, the waiter brought us our checks right after we ordered dessert, but before we got our dessert. Again he said no rush. We felt quite rushed and were disappointed. While the food was delicious and consistent with what we had in the past, we won’t return with a large party ever again.

                                                                                                                There were six of us , we asked for 3 checks , NO problem . Great food , great staff , fair pricing ! AND we had a round table . Perfect !!
