   Great restaurant. Quality food, great service and great atmosphere. Brought our kids to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it stress free. Beautiful place to eat and great staff.

   This place is a real gem. Excellent quality food served by magnificent highly trained staff. The value for money on offer at Mimosa is genuinely second to none; both for food and drink. This is, without doubt, our favourite restaurant for miles and should be on your list whenever you're anywhere near Carlow.

   It was my partners birthday I had asked for something a small desert and to sing happy birthday but they must of forgot I was disappointed

   Sorry we didn’t sing happy birthday to your partner - we were extremely busy yesterday & short staffed so apologies on missing that but to review a restaurant on not singing Happy Birthday is a little jarring - we work extremely hard to produce the best experience for all our guests but are not perfect & would have appreciated you reminding us before you left rather than going home unhappy and writing a review based on not singing rather than the food ! -

   We are always delighted with the service and food from mimosa. The chefs always produce the same high standard delicious and flavoursome food each time and we are never disappointed. Of particular note this time was the exceptional service of a young member of staff who seemed to be supervising (09/05/2025). I’m only raging I didn’t get her name to show her how much exceptional service is Truley appreciated. She appeared to be teaching a new reception staff member the ropes and we arrived at a busy time. She was able to anticipate any potential issues with friendly, clear instructions and demonstrated great management of all situations presented to her. She served food and found time to check on tables and while it was a first for us she noticed we were not as happy as usual about a drink choice. She came over and without prompt or any verbal communication from us removed the drink and made recommendations on what might be enjoyed more. She did everything with a smile on her face.

   One of our favorite spots in Carlow, consistent and good for any group size. The service is very attentive, the tapas are delicious and the atmosphere is lovely.

   From a food perspective, this place never lets us down. Great value for money and great food. Would eat here once a week if it wasn't so hard to get a booking.
