Have been in Nola for a week with family to celebrate the holidays. We’ve been to a lot of restaurants, some walkins and some with reservations. Meals and service were excellent at all - except here. Our party had a mix of revelion menu and normal. Everything was mediocre. Turtle soup was cold, duck confit salad came without the duck. Entrees lacked flavor. Our waitress was very pleasant but we rarely saw her. Drinks came after our apps, only 3 of our 4 desserts were delivered. This was for Xmas dinner, but they weren’t slammed. For more than $100 a person it wasn’t good value. Sometimes you give a restaurant a second chance after a bad meal because you can tell they were having a bad night. I wouldn’t do so in this case - it didn’t seem as though they were understaffed or it was an off night. I’d pass on Miss River, Nola has so many other outstanding restaurants to offer.

Hostess was not at door, had to walk in ask bartender who said they would find her, took 5 minutes or so for her to welcome us, did not give me a menu. Waitress was lukewarm, obviously did not want to be working and service showed, salad came out without duck, was then brought out in a separate bowl, then only brought one dessert menu, never offered coffee, but really never came back to table after ordering dessert except to bring bill.

Words can’t describe how this place was, very impressed of the setup, the flow of the restaurant and the environment of people enjoying each other. Service was exceptional and very precise. The food was amazing and the way they showed hospitality to me and my wife for our anniversary was amazing. Definitely recommend the pork chop and red snapper of available. Enjoy and thanks once again.

Great service, food was very good. A mix-up about the dessert. The server was great - but we thought we were just not getting the real story. The server brought us additional desserts, but still the experience changed the dynamics.
