   We went for Brunch. The eggs were over cooked, the potatoes soggy, don’t offer fresh fruit for waffles and french toast. My first and last time dining at this restaurant.

   The services was not the best. The waiter took forever to take our order and did not follow up with us regularly.

   This is my second time at Miss Toya’s in Laurel, and they never disappoint. The only small issue was our waitress was a bit slow in tending to us, but she was still good other than that! I will be going back!

   The food was good, and the experience was great overall. I had something come out cold on my plate but they brought me out a new side with no issues. I ordered food to take home with me and that experience went well. Based on my visit today, I will likely visit again!

   Food was really good but came out cold, loved my server but the hostess came across rude and wasn’t really helpful to server.

   Food is great, we can get that part out of the way. Service is another story. The wait staff is super cordial and nice HOWEVER, not sure if they are understaffed or what the issue is but service is less than favorable. We had to ask repeatedly for the same things we were promised just minutes before. Our waiter appeared to also be serving as bartender so that was a major contributor to our poor service. I would go back perhaps sometime in the future once I see more reviews that indicate the service has improved.

   I've dined here several times and haven't had a bad experience yet, from service to food. The only suggestion I would make is a TV behind the bar, so patrons can watch the game.

   The food was exceptional. We had the shrimp & grits, catfish & grits and a stack of pancakes. All delicious and worth the cost. The only thing I think that isn't fair. For the cornbread you get one cornbread muffin for $6. But a huge stack of 3 pancakes for $10. Somewhere the difference is cost does not make sense to me. I would give two muffins for $6.00. Make them a little smaller. But make it seem like you are getting more for your buck. I would not increase the cost for the pancakes :). The service was great. The hostess at the front could have had a little better greeting. But overall, I had a wonderful experience and I will be back.

   My sever was pleasant and provided really good service. My chicken was way over cooked and dry, the sweet potatoes were burned and had way too much sugar in them, and my cabbage didn’t taste too much like cabbage. My wife’s jambalaya chicken pasta did not have much pasta. Overall the food was poor

    The food was just okay, several of the participants did not enjoy their orders. The took a while to be given to each participant. One item was given as a take home because it wasn't ready during the visitation time. The server was very nice and I'm sure the service was due to the timing of the food being prepared.
