    Excellent food by people who were very proud to share the culture and culinary experience with guests. I tried food I’ve never had before, and loved every bit of it.

    The food was creative and fabulous. Great experience! The bday song was festive and special! Our waiter was very nice but had a thick accent so was difficult to understand. Ambiance is sort of industrial, would like a bit more Latin flair and more comfortable ( cushier)) seating.

    The food was excellent. But we had an odd experience with our reservation where the restaurant insisted that our party of 6 sits at a table for 4 because they wanted to save their table for 6 for another reservation. And it wasn't made clear why our reservation was inferior to another reservation. It was especially odd when the other party showed up later and didn't even use the table for 6.

    I feel the prices are slowly creeping up to a point where it may end up costing too much to enjoy this restaurant frequently. As a local resident, I used to bring visitors here often. This last trip, 3 people had 4 appetizers, 1 shared entree, 1 shared dessert and 2 alcoholic drinks and the total was well over $200 even before tip. (when same used to be ~ $150). Hope this doesn't hurt their business, as I do enjoy their food.

    Mistura was of the best Peruvian restaurants I have ever been - Including the places I ate in Lima Peru. Excellent service, Awesome food

    Mistura was a great experience. We had never had Peruvian food and tried some new items. The seafood soup was quite hardy and was very pretty as well. It was a bit spicey for my wife but I enjoyed it. She had the short ribs appetizer which was a sufficient meal. It was hard to tell what was an entree and what was an appetizer but it worked out. I needed to do some research on line to figure it out. The short ribs thankfully were very well seasoned but not spicey hot. The shortbread sandwich cookies were exceptional. Tasty soft shortbread cookie with a layer of dulce leche inside. Our waiter was quick and friendly. We had to leave earlier than planned due to parking issues (parking is a problem - not all areas allow you to add extra time after you have parked) and my cookies were packed to go. We would definitely return there.

    We really enjoyed our meal at Mistura. The food was delicious and well prepared. Will definitely go back on another visit to SLO.
