Aloha, we are open daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm and are located on the waterfront of Waikiki Beach inside the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. We accept reservations & reserve a large amount of space for walk-ins. If your desired reservation is not available, please join our waitlist in person daily. Happy Hour is available daily from 3:30pm-5:00pm (excluding select holidays).

Our chef driven concept is led by the classically trained, award winning chef, Peter Merriman. Peter is a culinary pioneer and one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. He has always been inspired by the people and products around him and this spirit has lead the movement to look at food in Hawaii in a new light. Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman embraces this passion!                                                                                                                   Thought we would give this place a try based on the reviews. We requested a special table weeks ahead to celebrate our anniversary. Got stuck without any view. Service and food was average. Pretty disappointed.

                                                                                                                  Had a great dinner at Monkeypod. Fish tacos were fresh and tortillas held up. Garlic truffle fried and strawberry cream pie were delicious. Be prepared, it is a very loud restaurant.

She gave thoughtful insights to the dishes we were interested in trying. She was also just a genuine and nice person:) The food was delicious and exactly what we wanted: green salad with chèvre and beets, potstickers, chef fish special and of course Mai Tais! Mahalo We will be back

                                                                                                                  We went to Monkey Pod our first day in Waikiki and a had a great meal and overall experience. We decided to return on our last evening in Honolulu. The food, service and staff were excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Oh and their cream pies are the best. We will return the next time we are in Waikiki.

                                                                                                                  Beachside seating is the best in the world! Fabulous setting. Servers were very good,and very kind, too. A terrific experience.

                                                                                                                  Our waitress was the best. Super sweet and great at being patient with our indecisiveness lol The atmosphere is so fun and the view of the ocean and Diamond head were beautiful!

                                                                                                                  The open air feel, decor and ocean views across an open dining room are reasons to come and at least try the Mai Tai. It is not a classic Mai Tai but it is delicious and the foam adds a visual element and wonderful flavors. My husband and I shared Kalua Pork and Pineapple "pizza" because it sounded so Hawaiian. I have rules about what I call pizza. It was very good. The mixed green salad with organic beets was underwhelming. I'm an avid roasted beet eater. These beets were small pieces that seemed out of a can. Fish & Chips. Very good. Like that they use daily fresh fish.

                                                                                                                  We were celebrating a birthday and let the waitress and host know but we didn’t get a birthday dessert like most restaurants do 😔. The food was okay, not worth the price. They had a live singer who was great, but the speakers were tooo loud. Even the waitress commented on it being too loud. The mai tais were some of the worst ones we had the entire trip (and we tried a lot of them!). The waitress was great, very nice and attentive. Other than the birthday thing, she was perfect.

I absolutely recommend this place for a good drink and delicious meal.
