Aloha, we are open daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm and are located on the waterfront of Waikiki Beach inside the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. We accept reservations & reserve a large amount of space for walk-ins. If your desired reservation is not available, please join our waitlist in person daily. Happy Hour is available daily from 3:30pm-5:00pm (excluding select holidays).

Our chef driven concept is led by the classically trained, award winning chef, Peter Merriman. Peter is a culinary pioneer and one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. He has always been inspired by the people and products around him and this spirit has lead the movement to look at food in Hawaii in a new light. Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman embraces this passion! Each item on the menu demonstrates our commitment to craft and showcases high quality, socially conscious ingredients, creative preparations, and perfect execution.

Missing items on order so we waited for other people’s food to arrive, then our food was not hot. Folks kept running out of water.

                                                                                                                  Had ribeye and jalapeño mash potatoes, mac nut crust mahi mahi, maui pineapple relish, scallion-garlic rice, lemon beurre blanc, orange cold brew and Mac nut mai tai. 10/10 our server was also fantastic, came around the appropriate amount to check on us and left us alone to our conversation. There were even performers. Perfect date night!

                                                                                                                  We had reservations and were called within one minute Of arriving to our table. We received drinks right away and put on our order. Our food came out extremely quickly especially considering we had ordered pizza! They gave us a free slice of their delicious strawberry pie as we were celebrating birthday. Great food and great service.

                                                                                                                  Food was delicious, and loved the ambiance with the live music, dim lighting, and the restaurant being right next to the ocean. Me and my wife went on Valentine’s Day and we were able to get in right at our reservation time. She had the margarita pizza and I had the ribeye with jalapeño mashed potatoes and Swiss chard. The jalapeño mashed potatoes were incredible and so was the rib eye, which was cooked perfectly medium and tasted better than most nice steak houses I’ve been to. I would always recommend monkey pod to people looking for a good place to eat with a nice environment and setting.

We had the kale salad, Kailua pork and pineapple pizza and the macadamia nut crusted fish. The fish and pizza were outstanding. They were very busy and the kitchen was fast with the salad and slow with the rest of the food. There was a great live singer which added to the ambiance.
