The food here was delicious. The ambience wonderful and the service fantastic. We went on Thanksgiving for the Price fix menu and the reason we didn’t give five stars is because we were not full when we left. The portions were a little too small. For the price it cost I would’ve thought we would’ve walked away feeling satiated.

The food is always delicious! The location promotes difficult parking and a boisterous environment, perfect for chic young loud crowds, but my partner and I could barely hear one another. But all great places have gone this way. Plenty of people of all ages there, it's just that we couldn't compete. The service was fantastic and personal, and the meal a treat! Will just have to go earlier in the week.

The environment is great and the people that work there are amazing. So friendly! It is also nice that an Italian restaurant has a full bar 😁 Great food too. They have a new chef from Sardinia. I highly recommend it!

The worst Italian food in SF. Horrible service, cold food w/ small portions, poor service & charged us incorrectly. Extremely disappointed in the service AND food here. I brought friends from out of town here and every aspect of our meal and service was disappointing. After they brought the wrong food, charged us incorrectly, & gave slow service we weren’t even offered any type of adjustments. I hope the manager reaches out because this was truly embarrassing to bring friends here. 0/10.

Excellent new menu with great delicious items and high quality ingredients! We loved the artichoke and supplì starters and the squash-mushroom lasagna! Service was also excellent with the team taking care of us an making sure we were happy with the food and experience. Drinks were also superb.

Montesacro offers innovative food in a nice setting. What detracts from the experience is the loud music that features a pounding bass track. At the end of the evening, I felt like someone was pounding on my head and it made conversation difficult. Another more minor issue is that they do not keep their online menu up to date - we were looking forward to a couple of items that were not on the actual menu. Otherwise, the service is excellent. The wine, and wine recommendations are also excellent as are the mixed drinks. The pizzas are delicious. Fix the music and update the menu and it would have been a 5-star experience.

The food, wine pairing and service were all excellent, but the portion sizes were almost insultingly small - they might have been appropriate for a 5 course tasing menu not a 2 course.
