Montrachet at Bowen Hills, is located on King Street. Large windows enclose a lavishly furnished space, creating
intimacy for a world of luxury inside; white tablecloths, silver cutlery, rich timbers and a well-stocked bar are all redolent of a charming Parisian brasserie and perceptive waitstaff are attentive in fulfilling culinary desires.
Stepping into Montrachet is like stepping into a Parisian bistro. From the burgundy leather banquet that runs the length of the room, to the marble comptoir (bar), Montrachet oozes elegance and charm. Traditional overtones and design are accompanied by Laguiole cutlery, monogrammed crockery and glassware and a well stocked bar. French antiques, metal pastis signs and gilt framed mirrors create an ambience perfectly complimentary to the French cuisine of executive chef and owner Clement Chauvin is famous for.

    Not the same as the old Montrachet, and a bit inconsistent on food taste, portion sizes for mains, and service but still pricey.

    My friends and I visited Montrachet for the first time tonight and we absolutely loved it. Friendly staff, amazing food and really fast service. I would love to come here again.

    A long awaited return to my previously favorite restaurant. Nice not to have timed seating sessions. Bread and lovely butter on arrival and three delicious amuse bouche when we ordered. Reduced menu options. Crab soufflé was delicious as ever. I had the pork as a main , it was nice but small and expensive. Sadly a single diner cannot order duck or steak as a main, they are shared meals for two. The cheese portion for dessert was perfect, super yummy and at $9 the best value. Service was different from the past. Friendly and helpful but just different. A nice night

    We didn’t think Montrachet could improve, but under new management it did. The food was exquisite and the staff were warm and inviting, with the effervescent General Manager adding his personal touch to the ambience. We can’t wait to return.

    We had heard great things about the restaurant and booked a Degustation dinner for two at 8:30 PM. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one waiter, who took our order. However, throughout the evening, we interacted with a total of three additional waiters. We felt as though we had to repeat our requests and preferences multiple times to different staff members, which disrupted the flow of our experience. While everyone was polite, we noticed that the service felt somewhat fragmented. For example, we had to specifically ask for wine pairings, and nothing was offered proactively, which was surprising given the restaurant's reputation. It seemed that the staff, though courteous, were preoccupied and not as attentive as we had expected for such a well-regarded French establishment. That said, the food and wine were excellent and lived up to the classic standards we anticipated

    Pure excellence. The ambiance was spot on, noise levels and lighting just right. The crew on staff were attentive not interruptive, the chef personable and the food! Perfect. Such delightful presentation, exquisite taste sensations on every plate. Montrachet deserves it's fine dining reputation. It is an experience that should be sought out at least one in a lifetime. Thank you.
