Moon Rabbit is a highly-regarded Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Led by acclaimed Chef Kevin Tien, the restaurant embodies an innovative approach to Vietnamese cuisine, showcasing a menu that is both unique and complex.     Enjoy a special tour of Vietnam guided by Chef Kevin and his team in celebration of The Year of the Snake! The multi-course menu has a focus on seasonal ingredients and creative dishes. Diners can expect a culinary journey that is both familiar and innovative. Our menu is offered at $85 per person. At the moment we are unable to accommodate soy, allium and nightshade allergies, please email info@dokidokihospitality.com before booking to confirm. A 20% service fee will be added to your bill, of which 100% is distributed to front of house non-management employees in the form of wages and benefits. Tips are distributed amongst all hourly employees who work throughout the day to create your dining experience.

    My husband and I had been looking forward to this dinner for a while, having enjoyed Kevin's previous restaurant at the Wharf. About a week before our reservation we asked to add two friends - the staff were so accommodating! The food, drink, service and atmosphere exceeding our expectations - which were high! This was the best DC dining experience I have had in a long while. Thank you to all the staff who made it happen. Kayla and Judy were outstanding! P.S.: PLEASE BRING BACK THE FRIED CHICKEN - yes, I am begging. Best bite of food I've ever had in my 42 years in this planet. Regardless, Moon Rabbit is DIVINE. Simply lovely!!

    We visited Moon Rabbit for the first time in January 2025 and it was the best dining experience I have had to date. We did the chefs tasting menu and everything was outstanding. We continued to talk about how good the food was for the rest of the evening. We will most definitely be making a return trip in the future.

    OMG! I’m in love with this place and can’t wait to recommend it to literally everyone I know. Emily was at the hostess stand and was so sweet! She gave me an introduction to the restaurant and gave me a Taylor swift sticker on my way out! Monique and Marisol were incredible. They made the experience that much better. The staff, the vibes, the food!! My new favorite spot!

    This place is a real gem. The food was delicious!! They were very accommodative to our special requests regarding food sensitivities. Service was amazing BUT BEWARE: a service charge is added to all checks, even for small parties. Will definitely go again and be recommending to everyone!

    The food was amazing. Cocktails were creative and delicious. Service was great. It’s not cheap, but definitely worth the indulgence for a special occasion.

    The staff and kitchen were amazing! My Fiance and I had a great first experience. The food was delicious and they made my birthday dinner a memorable experience. We definitely would come back!

    We tried Moon Rabbit for lunch (not easy to get a dinner reservation) and it was a perfect experience. The decor is simple, beautiful, spacious, and welcoming. The servers were gracious & helpful but not intrusive. Flatware and plates were changed frequently like they are in a Michelin-star restaurant. The food was SO creative, not overly salty nor smothered with garlic. Portions were just right for sampling multiple offerings and sharing between 2 people. We had the Chinese broccoli & the squash salad, the stuffed leaves, the mussels, the catfish & the fried chicken. All superb. We had room for dessert and actually ended up trying all 3 offerings. I cannot choose a favorite! None was too rich or too much. We also enjoyed their wine selection which matched very well with the Vietnamese cuisine.
