                                                          Disappointing Experience at Morimoto Asia Waikiki I had high expectations for Morimoto Asia Waikiki, but the experience was a letdown. Food was incredibly bland (aside from the Bop Bowl which was good). Our waiter was MIA most of the time, and they didn’t even check-in to see if everything was okay. Our server was clearly overwhelmed with too many tables, leading to empty soda glasses sitting on the table for most of the meal and overall very poor service. This seems like a management issue, as they’re either understaffed or not prioritizing guest experience. Definitely not worth the price—wouldn’t recommend.

                                                          The menu is so small now, why? There use to be an extensive wine list separate from the food menu and the food menu use to be 4-5 pages. Now it’s 2 pages combined with the cocktails/wine. We were very limited in what we could eat. This is a place we enjoy visiting each year we come back and now, not so much. While the food is still great, the very small menu took away what was so great about the family style aspect.

                                                          Delicious dinner! Started with tuna pizza and assorted dim sum, both were excellent. For dinner I had miso black cod and my husband had the lobster with noodles! Love this restaurant!

                                                          Booked Morimoto Asia for my 40th Birthday and it was underwhelming to say the least. During check-in, we were escorted inside when I specifically reserved outside dining. I was not informed prior to my reservation that a group who most likely booked AFTER my reservation paid to have the entire outdoor seating. The waiter was pleasant but the lack of attention to details failed.

                                                          This was by far one of my top five favorite dinners. Shout to Yoon for making our dining experience unforgettable. He thoughtfully provided recommendations on not only food but as to how best course out our meal and let me tell you, it made ALL the difference. The food was all tasty and complex in flavor. If you’re able to enjoy dining here, get the A5 wagyu beef. You get to lightly sear it on a Japanese stone. The flavor is amazing. Text ire is buttery and melts in your mouth. Highly recommend dining here next time you are in Waikiki.

                                                          Excellent evening. Waiter Keyvan (should have checked spelling) was close to perfect for us. Just the right amount of attention to our table, very knowledgeable about the dishes, and very pleasant. Thank you! Very much enjoyed my birthday dinner.
