Moro restaurant in London’s Exmouth Market may retain its reputation as one of the hippest restaurants in one of the hippest parts of the capital, but this Clerkenwell restaurant still focuses more on good food than its own image. Moro’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar, open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven, is functional and welcoming. Cuisine of the southern Mediterranean, from the Iberian Peninsula into Northern Africa, is the menu’s exclusive province.

                                      Excellent Spanish cuisine, approved of by the third member of our group, from Madrid. The service really was outstanding too. Friendly but very efficient and clearly well trained.

                                      We're been going to Moro since it opened but haven't been for a long time. The food, service and everything were just as good as we remembered. Our waiter was fantastic. We took our goddaughter for her birthday and she has fallen in love with the place - especially the malaga raisin ice cream with PX! Thank you for a lovely evening!

                                      We had an extremely enjoyable evening since the moment we arrived, when we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who are always attentive and friendly. The quality of the food was excellent. The mussels steamed with feta and the duck breast with orange and hazelnuts are not to be missed with their amazing combination of complementary flavours and textures.

                                      A chance to catch up with my daughter who works in central London and I chose Moro for the second time due to its relaxed ambience, gorgeous food and great service. We had the mixed tapas plates seated at the counter which was great to see the 'theatre' of the restaurant come alive as the evening went on. I hope Moro is around for many more years to come.
