Great place we tried during soft open. Had the fish dinner for 2 - cod and mackerel. Food was amazing, authentic banchan, generous portions, loved the pumpkin soup and tofu jigae. Trendy ambiance.

Outstanding bibimbop, delicious bulgogi, terrific stew - the whole meal was great. Service was helpful and attentive but not overbearing. Prices were reasonable.

The second time at Mother’s Apron and was just as wonderful and satisfying as the first time. Food is wonderful and the service is great. We are coming back again and again.

This place is a winner! It’s as beautiful as the trendiest places in downtown Chicago, but it’s quiet enough that you can hear each other speak. The food is excellent - we shared the fish Hanjeongsik, a Korean traditional meal with an array of side dishes (I think we counted 15!), plus rice and soup. The mackerel was grilled and perfectly salted. The cod was tender and seasoned in a lovely sweet stew. The kimchi was almost subtle - a delight to eat. There’s not enough room to talk about every item, but suffice it to say we will be back!

The interior design was beautiful. It was very modern. The food was very delicious. I highly recommend to visit this Korean restaurant.

If you have had Korean food before this will be immediately familiar and may become your new favorite Korean restaurant. If you have never had Korean food before this is the place to go for a unique and accessible experience. The owner genuinely cares about her customers and ensures they have a great dining out! I loved all of the food and the accompanying sides. The kimchi dumplings are out of this world! This gets my enthusiastic recommendation! What is most incredible is I love Korean food and this is right in my “backyard” and it will become a favorite.

This is the best Korean food I’ve eaten since moving here. The restaurant is really nice inside, great and friendly staff and the food was fresh and delicious! This is my go to restaurant anytime I want Korean food. Five stars for sure!
