Originally opened as Lyons English Grille in 1945, in 2014 the building was purchased from David Lyons and after a complete renovation we re-opened in 2015 as Mr. Lyons, a homage to Mr. David Lyons.

Mr. Lyons features steakhouse classics with a modern edge. Be transported to a bygone era when jazz standards, martinis and steak ruled the day while enjoying modern luxury and innovation. A classic steakhouse with a menu that puts local small farms first, delivered with impeccable tableside service. Editors pick for best steakhouse “Palm Springs Life 2021 and 2022.” Mr. Lyons features five unique experiences/spaces: The Salon, The Lounge, The Conservatory and Terrace, The Private Dining Room, The Private Dining Patio and Seymour’s.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and absolutely love it, but this experience was quite unusual. The service was absolutely horrible - from the bartenders, to the host stand, to the weight staff, to the sommelier. Everyone seemed high, slow, error-prone and inattentive. I have loads of specific issues that happened and I want to believe that it was just a bad night. Frankly, I was flat out, embarrassed to bring my out-of-town guest here to one of my favorite restaurants.

Food lacked salt, steak was very over cooked (asked for medium rare and it was served medium to quite well). Server was friendly but something was a bit off with everyone- staff kept trying to open a door that was locked, there was a lot of confusion with tables, just seemed relatively chaotic.

If you have half the restaurant booked for a private event you should know when you make your reservation that a portion, including the bar is shut down. Especially a restaurant commanding the price this restaurant does. Food great service ok.

Our server was very nice, as was the sommelier. However, service was uneven. Neither one came over to make sure that we had enough wine or water poured. We had to wait quite a bit for our entrées to come out as well. My husband's steak frites was on the tough side. Have been to Mr. Lyons before and food was excellent and service top notch, so was a bit disappointed. However, will give them another chance!

We love Mr. Lyons. We arrived early to visit Seymours but it was closed for a private event. The staff was willing to seat us early. We got crammed into a corner table where we had to move the table over due my wife's seat being up against the side of a couch. This put us a little too close tot he couple dining next to us. We found ourselves whispering in an attempt to have a private conversation. The food was great. Highly recommend the filet. Service wasn't the greatest. It was Valentine's day so they were busy but it took us a while to find our server to order additional courses and drinks. We definitely felt the service was lacking. If you're looking for a more elevated, intimate dining experience, I'd recommend Melvyn's or Mister Parkers at the Parker hotel. Cost is similar at all 3 places.

First time here after friends suggested. Place was loud, busy. Waiter was very nice however he was also very busy and there were long pauses between courses. Caesar salad was one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. Dressing was just like salt water. While the steak was great (and should be at $65 a la carte) the sides were bad. Poke frites were rock hard and not edible and carrots were too sweet. We let the bus boy know since the waiter was busy with other tables. Nothing was offered by way of complaining. Very disappointing experience overall and more so when considering the price.
