Originally opened as Lyons English Grille in 1945, in 2014 the building was purchased from David Lyons and after a complete renovation we re-opened in 2015 as Mr. Lyons, a homage to Mr. David Lyons.

Mr. Lyons features steakhouse classics with a modern edge. Be transported to a bygone era when jazz standards, martinis and steak ruled the day while enjoying modern luxury and innovation. A classic steakhouse with a menu that puts local small farms first, delivered with impeccable tableside service. Editors pick for best steakhouse “Palm Springs Life 2021 and 2022.” Mr. Lyons features five unique experiences/spaces: The Salon, The Lounge, The Conservatory and Terrace, The Private Dining Room, The Private Dining Patio and Seymour’s.

Overall a wonderful experience to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday. Food was tasty and well-priced. The one-star downgrade was for them being out of the lobster ravioli after being told everything was available. Not a huge issue but left disappointed. Also, my Old Fashion was lackluster at best. Really not big issues here but felt a restaurant of this quality and prestige was worth of higher standards. Would 100% go back!

This restaurant is very overpriced for what it offers. We had the Asian rolls which were gloppy and awkward to eat as they weren’t rolled up. Hamachi crudo was delicious. Beef Wellington was nice but way overpriced. Brussels sprouts were burned not charred. Prime rib was tasteless. Once was enough for us at this restaurant.

Food was excellent, our server had great menu and cocktail recommendations. Our only negative is we never got more water. It took a little while to flag someone down to give us a water refill

Lobster bisque bizarrely had a mound of nuts in it. Lobster ravioli was unrecognizable- somehow looked like a spicy tuna roll and was cold. Our special occasion party of 6 was seated at an outdoor table tucked away in an outdoor corner, led to terrible service- I think our table was essentially forgotten. Aloof, inattentive service. Dessert served without silverware, servers had no clue (bday dessert was ice cream in a soup tureen with a candle in it). Really bad experience at a spot on the top of so many PS lists. Never again.

This was the best night out I can remember in a long time. The food is yummy, the service is excellent and the ambience is cool and quirky. Loved it!

beautiful venue horrible service. it took 20 min to get our server to us, over 30 min for a second drink and our server looked genuinely surprised when we said we didnt have time to get dessert bc he took too long. let alone no apology or anything. he was gone for way too long inbetween taking orders/food delivery etc. bummer bc it was not only both of our first time but also, my birthday dinner.

Excellent food as always. Unfortunately had to wait quite a long time for drinks. We were some of the first into the restaurant at 5 PM and their bar tenders were backed up. We visited Seymour’s with friends from out of town. It was their first time visiting. Unfortunately it took 30 minutes to get drinks.
