A Family Tradition For Over 90 Years

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Thank you in advance for understanding and we are in this together.

    Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We waited over an hour to be serviced at our table and receive our drinks. We were shuffled through 3 separate servers and as a result our order was placed incorrectly. Several tables around us were served and completed their meals before we even received ours. The quality of the food has diminished over the years. This is an annual Christmas tradition for us but I think next year we’ll have to rethink our dinner options.

    The restaurant was very cold inside the glass plates were too cold causing the food to get cold. My grandchild didn’t get his gift because Santa was on break when we left.

    I had a good time with my partner. The food was very good and they were quick to pull out fresh fried chicken and other foods when they ran out. The boysenberry mimosa was also pretty tasty. A nice time.

    Been waiting all year to attend this Santa breakfast after seeing posts of it last year…it didn’t disappoint! Food and service was great. A little pricey IMO, but it was a good experience.

    I was very excited for my granddaughters to have this experience when I booked it. However, upon arrival, I felt the restaurant could've been decorated much better, the fried chicken and the posole was good, but the pancakes were microwave pancakes and the waffles were not good. So to me the price that they charge for this experience, the quality of food definitely needs to improve. Also, on the advertisement Santa was giving away medium size Snoopy stuffed animals to the children, and instead my granddaughters received small little stuffed animals. I definitely thought that Knott's Berry farm could've even given a smallSnoopy. This experience was a one and done for my family unless it improves drastically.

    We had reservations and they sat us almost immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was very busy and we were pleased to have made our reservations early. The food was a great value for a very large portion. The chicken was a great recipe and was very juicy. We had the boysenberry pie, which was absolutely delicious. Will definitely visit again.
