Great experience, but Agas is king. If you want great ambiance, go to Musaafer. 6 guest, food and drink $900.

The food and ambience were great, in order to be exceptional, it would have been nice for the tables to be kept clean between the courses. The staff also took away our napkins a couple of times and we had to request them again We have been here several times and would go back again. Thanks

We choose the chef menu, it took 40 min to start serving. It does not seems something they are used to serve. No value for money.

Whenever we visit Houston, Musaffer is always our go-to place. The food is consistently delicious, and the ambience is exceptional. This time, we had an even more memorable experience as the manager took the time to come over and speak with us. He was incredibly kind and polite, sharing the exciting news that they will be opening a new location in New York this February. We are thrilled for them and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

I came out to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. I booked my reservation on 11/21 for December 29th. I also added details on allergies. I feel like that should have been ample time to know what should have been expected for the table as far as dishes, the only question would have been who gets what. We were so excited to come out, I had people come from Conroe, Texas City, and Austin. I was excited as this was MY first experience at a Michelin star restaurant. They had been to other restaurants that were awarded stars in other cities. Everyone at my table was SEVERELY disappointed with the service, the wait times, and overall experience. This completely took away from the enjoyment of the food. Considering this is a tasting menu, we should not be waiting 20-30 minutes in between courses for a taste. When we questioned it after being there almost two hours and barely being on course #3, we were responded with attitude over the plating. We completely understood that plating takes time, but with a month of preparation and allergy instructions included… one would think they would have had ample time have prepared and to keep up with the course of the meal. Especially with the fact that we spent over $250 each. And for what? For attitude? To sit there from 7:10-10:30 majority of the time just waiting to be remembered? The tables around us had such quick service and to think that we did not receive the same quality service paying a higher price point is absurd. This was not a very happy birthday for me.

The food was really really good. The bartender and the men who bring the food out were really nice. The hostess seemed very prejudice, uninviting and standoffish. She marked me as not showing up for my reservation and I got an email about it while I was in the restaurant. When I was leaving I mentioned it and then she tried to lie about it. The parking was really really bad which made me 20 mins late for my reservation. She asked me to wait to the side to see if they could accommodate us, after about 30 mins I seen that she wasn’t updating me so I asked what’s going on and she replied oh there’s no tables until 9:30pm mind you my original reservation was at 4:30. I found it odd that she would let us wait there without even updating us and saying it would be a 4.5 hour wait. So I decided to sit at the bar and there were so so many tables available and when I asked she said well we have reservations until 9:30. I sat at the bar for hours and those tables were never occupied. She also said that she would let me know if a table become available but she never came back. I eat a lots of nice restaurants in Houston and I was very disappointed with my experience with this lady. But bc other staff members treated me well I would assume it’s more of her personally vs the entire restaurant staff.

We had the best time enjoying the Tasting Menu. Every single course was flavorful, different, and exciting. The Amuse Buche, currently a cumin and truffle macaron topped with kaluga caviar was an incredible start to the meal. The Achapam rose cookie or the Lychee Coconut ceviche may have been my favorite courses, they were so light and refreshing and flavorful with interesting notes that were fun to discuss with the other people in our party. I have to mention the absolute decadence that is the Paneer. I would absolutely order it over and over again, the texture is so soft and smooth and its sauce was clean the plate with naan worthy. Our server, JP, did a wonderful job walking us through each course and explaining the concepts of the restaurant and creation of dishes, as well as talking through cocktail flavors, and taking extreme care of me with Food Allergies. The restaurant is so beautiful and detailed, with tiny bits of intricate decor everywhere you look. Try the Zaffran cocktail, you won’t regret it!

This was our 2nd visit and the first since the Michelin guide. The food was excellent again, really enjoyable. I am not sure you can go wrong with any of the dishes. There were four of us and everything we ordered was great. It was a Friday night and they seemed a little overwhelmed. Even though we had an early reservation, there was still a 10 minute wait to get seated. The server was excellent, but had too much to do. We were also seated in a side room that had much worse ambience than the main area, was too cold and because of the tiling was extremely loud. (It’s the room with the white tiled flooring). We ordered glasses of wine with the entrees, but it only turned up by the time we have completed them. I mentioned it to the service manager who brought the wine who apologized (just). For the price, there really is not the excuse for the level of service that we experienced. Would not go back on a Friday night and would not eat in the white tiled room also. But the food is so delicious, I will be back.
