Opened in April 2024 by a family that has been operating restaurants in and around Old Town for almost 50 years. Located in the heart of Old Town, Mystic has a diverse menu featuring Texas style smoked brisket, baby rack ribs & Carolina pulled pork. Meats are smoked low & slow in BBQ champion Myron Mixon's signature smoker that is front and center in our open kitchen. BBQ is just one part of this southern centric menu that also features fresh seafood including our signature spicy she crab soup, low country shrimp & grits & creole bouillabaisse. Not to be missed is the jumbo lump crab cake sandwich, which sets the standard for all of Old Town. Specialty sandwiches & unique salads are available all day in a casual setting that features upscale but moderately priced food. Great little wine list & large selection of draft beers are also available. Don’t forget about the “bananas foster” bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream & brown sugar rum sauce.

My wife and I had a great, no fuss Valentine’s Day dinner. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and the full menu was available plus a V-day featured special. My wife enjoyed a Caesar salad and the BBQ salmon while I had the catfish. We also had fried green tomatoes and the pecan pie. The menu was our primary reason for choosing this location. Neither of us are huge on barbecue, but there’s plenty mouthwatering options outside of the BBQ realm. Service was friendly and attentive. The food did take a little bit of time to arrive, but once it did, we both were happy. It has been a long week and we really just needed a relaxing spot with good food where we could talk, laugh and focus on each other. All boxes checked.

First time at this restaurant. Slight issue with my salmon not being cooked as much as i liked it but they rectified issue quickly and was delicious when new plate arrived. Also offered a free dessert as an apology. Husband enjoyed his BBQ platter. Will return to try it again as staff lovely

Simply outstanding! The service was friendly and efficient… and the food was simply fantastic! The fried oysters were the best we had ever had. Whoever is in charge of the fryer is doing a fabulous job of lightly and crisply battering the seafood and cooking what is inside to a delicious, moist flavorful point! The pulled pork… Just awesome! Love that there’s a variety of barbecue and hot sauces for you to add to your dishes. Cannot wait to go again! A family business that deserves to totally succeed!

It’s been a while since we’ve been to this building . It was Ecco. So glad we gave Mystic a try! The crab cake was amazing- mostly chunks of crab with little filler! The chicken BQ was tender! We will be back!

The best bbq in Old Town. Creative menu supported the bbq lovers in the family as well as my family members looking for something else. Great food and good service.

We had a wonderful visit! The crayfish and shrimp fritters were delicious and delivered to our table promptly after ordering. My entree was wonderful as were the ribs my husband and daughter shared.

We hadn’t been back since this spot was Myron Mixon’s, which we weren’t too fond of. The area has always needed more great BBQ, and Mystic BBQ absolutely delivered. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. P.S. If you’re a fan of collard greens, these are hands down the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant!

The crab cakes were excellent and so was the brisket sandwich! Definitely a place to go to.

We were meeting out of towners and wanted to be able to hear each other. Mystic filled the bill. We did Bruch. Started with the calamari and shrimp. It was delicious but small for a party of 4. Ordered the ribs, good flavor and fell off the bone, shrimp po boy and crab cakes. Got to get a bite of everything and enjoyed it all! Ended with chocolate mousse and bread pudding, yummy.
