Mythos Taverna brings you on a trip to Greece & the islands, serving authentic dishes from across the region in beautiful Mediterranean surroundings.

Located in the famous Arcadian, just outside the Hippodrome with a beautiful heated terrace on theatre square, Mythos brings a true flavour of Greece to Birmingham.

Serving dishes such as marinated souvlaki grilled over our traditional Greek charcoal & a range of ‘mezze’ dishes such as hummus and the famous Greek feta salad along with a range of rose and syrup soaked pastries to finish.

Our wine selection has been sourced from all over Greece and we have a range of Greek beers and spirits. Be sure to visit Mythos for a true Greek experience & a taste of true Greek Hospitality.

I’m incredibly disappointed with this restaurant. We had been eagerly anticipating it for a while, but it was a complete waste of money. First of all, only two draft lagers were advertised, but they were unfortunately unavailable. My girlfriend ordered a feta cheese pastry starter that came out warm. She also ordered the sea bream has her main, which was severely overcooked and greasy. As an Italian, she knows how fish should be cooked, so this was a major disappointment. Everything else was simply drowned in oil. The service was also quite rude. When I asked for the bill, I was only shown it and handed the card machine to pay. I didn’t even get to question the £9.59 service charge, which I would have refused to pay. Overall, I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. The actual restaurant itself is very clean and looks lovely, and the atmosphere was pleasant with even a house DJ. But the food, service, and overpriced service charge made it a complete letdown. We won’t be returning.

A last minute short of time (45 minutes!) lunch to raise morale before my wife's 2 hour dental surgery appointment. Mythos effortlessly and without fuss provided a tasty selection of Mezes (our favourite Greek dishes) Individual involved table service, lovely decor! We will be back for a more leisurely experience!

The food is just not good enough for price your charging . Either drop price or improve your food and charge the price .

The food is phenomenal here. This was my second time and it's just incredible. We shared a mixed grill for two. The meat was beautiful and flavoursome. The service was good. We were the only people in here at lunch time, but that didn't matter. We love it here and will be returning. Thanks so much!

Nice food. Shame no lamb kleftico or chicken gyos though. Quite expensive especially drinks way overpriced beers in small bottles

I have visited the Taverna once before a couple of years ago the food was delicious so I decided to return for my birthday. Very pleasant welcome the waitresses were very polite and friendly. The food didn’t take too long to be served maybe around 25 mins. Absolutely delicious mixed grill for two. We were stuffed and couldn’t finish it all. I’ve been to Greece 3 times and loved the food so I was happy to find this Taverna to enjoy the Greek experience at home.
