Nami Nori is a casual, award. winning, temaki bar specializing in open-style sushi hand rolls. Our menu features signature temaki, including crunchy varieties, as well as takes on the classics and a special vegan section. The open-style temaki allows guests to enjoy a wide variety of flavors, in each fun-to-eat, visually tempting bite.

We also serve Japanese-inspired snacks and appetizers, along with a selection of beer, sake and wine, available on tap and by the bottle. Nami Nori is a casual yet elegant temaki bar offering guests a unique sushi dining experience in Williamsburg. Coming from the rarified Japanese restaurants in which they trained, partners Taka Sakaeda, Jihan Lee and Lisa Limb envisioned Nami Nori to be a more inclusive place that balances accessibility with a dedication to quality and creativity with a respect for traditional techniques.

We loved our experience here! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess, immediately sat down in a beautiful minimalistic setting....the counter is the move! We ordered the tempura as an app and it was divine; then came along the temaki, my favorites where the coconut shrimp, toro and yellowtail! The fish was so fresh and everything was seasoned well. One last thing, order their matcha margarita because it was sooooo delicious!

I had an incredibly disappointing and dangerous experience at Nami Nori today. Despite informing the staff about my allergy multiple times—both when making the reservation and again at the restaurant—they served me a dish containing the allergen. After taking one bite, I became severely ill and was barely able to get up from my seat, almost needing to call an ambulance. The staff’s response was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of prioritizing my health and taking the situation seriously, they offered to remove the contaminated dish from the bill as if that could resolve the issue. I couldn’t even eat after that one bite, and there was no manager present to address the situation appropriately. If you have any allergies and want to dine somewhere that takes them seriously, this is NOT the place for you. The negligence here could have had catastrophic consequences, and their lack of accountability was appalling.

The food and service were really good and innovative, tasty. The surprise always comes when a restaurant applies the 20% tip which they say will go to All the staf. Well, the price of the food includes the cost of the all the other staff. Tips should be only to the server and we should be able to choose from 18‰ to 25%, depending on the service. Instead, you are obligated to give 20% to ALL the staff which is the responsibility of the business owner and + another tip amount to the server who looks at you with the line, if you decide I serve you well, this other tip goes only to me!!! This kind of prediction makes people think if the restaurant is worth a come back or no. Restaurant owners, like Pharrell Williams (main investor) should know better than burden their customers with a total of 40% tip and never see that pateon again.

Wow wow wow!! What a great time! The food was delicious and staff was kind and patient. Our Temaki order was delayed due to training a new chef but as our server said “good things take time” and she was right!!!

if that was possible, i think it was even better than last time. the precision is remarkable, flavors are incredibly pure & clean, cant wait to go back.
