New Scotland Brewing Co. is a community based microbrewery in the heart of Downtown Dartmouth Nova Scotia, overlooking the Halifax Harbour. NSB is dedicated to showcasing the best Nova Scotia has to offer, all while producing exceptional small batch beer and vodka soda.

New Scotland is more than a brewery! Come in and enjoy lunch, dinner or a late night snack. We also know beer isn't for everyone and always have a collection of other beverages for you to enjoy (non-alcoholic and alcoholic).

While you're here, take in some live music on the New Scotland Stage - check out our OpenTable Experiences for all upcoming entertainment!

Don't forget to grab a t-shirt and some cans to go from our retail shop out front.

Attended at 7 and advised if staying past 8 would have to pay cover for band. Numerous items on already small menu not available. Service acceptable, friendly but ++ busy

Good spot for date night with my wife. Some menu items weren't available which was disappointing. Beer is always good. Ambiance and service was good. It was relatively quiet 7 to 8 pm on a sat night, but started to get crowded as we were leaving. We'll be back.

The food was amazing and the beer great. But the service was a little off. We had to get up and go to the bar just to get a glass of water. The server was nice and great but just needed to be attentive. We sat for a good 10 minutes before someone came to get our drink order. We were not upset or anything but just something we noticed.

We arrived for our 11:30 reservation on Sunday, April 28. There were four of us, we got seated right away and ordered our drinks. 3 out of the 4 drinks we ordered were not available as you didn't have the ingredients. The three of us made our second choice for a drink. We began to order our food, one order for fish cakes and the other 3 for Chicken and waffles, the waitress told us right away that there were no fish cakes available, she left the table for a few minutes and came back to tell us that she "didn't think" they had any chicken either. So we decided on just finishing our drinks and going elsewhere. I feel this situation could have been handled better, the waitress should had told us right away about the stock issues we would have decided right away to go elsewhere, and not have the added cost of buying drinks in 2 different locations. (we were charged full price for the drinks) Great location and view, I believe in second chances, so may go back and hopefully have a better experience.

We love New Scotland especially typically their food. Nachos are the best in the city. This evenings food was disappointing. The food for our table of 5 adults and two infants took over an hour. All the tables in the restaurant were the same being delivered all at once. I suspect there was some sort of issue in the kitchen. Which I get happens however the fries for two of the entries were cold and I found the burger week burger over cooked, dry with little flavour. I anticipated the burger to be flavourful and delicious from the description and price point. As mentioned we love New Scotland and will definitely go back with hopes the food will be back to were it was. The service remind good.

Our first burger for burger week was delish! Was busy but we were not pressed for time. Enjoyed hanging out and then splitting the burger (we were going to another place for a 2nd one to share). A fun Saturday evening.

So glad we went here. Service, food and drinks amazing. Love the vodka sodas. I regret not picking some up to take home. The singer was sick so a little disappointed but, that cannot be controlled. The noise level was high, so tough to talk for first date. Wish the chairs were more comfortable. You need a bit more room. Liked the ambience better when turned lights down. I will surely return however. Thank you. I do recommend this place.
