Great service and good food at a quaint local restaurant. Great service was very appreciated by our party of 8. Really great service. Value, however, became a concern when I ordered the seafood sampler for $49. I was quite disappointed when my dish arrived with just a single scallop, a single (and not very large) tiger prawn and a relatively small portion of Chilean sea bass all placed on what seemed like just 3 spoonfuls of mash potatoe. My dish was good, but far from extraordinary and certainly not worthy of the $49 cost. The appetizers were good with the hi-lights being the pork belly (10/10) and the calamari (9/10). The brie was good but served too cold. The wild mushroom risotto was the hi-light of the evening. It was as good as I have ever tasted and it would, alone, warrant a return to NEXT. Lasagna was good and seafood pasta was was decent but somewhat bland. The greatest disappointment was the duck which was very difficult to eat and not plated properly. I’ve had duck many times and I’ve never had to use my hands to eat it. Very disappointing and a dish to be avoided. The grilled chicken, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. It was cooked to perfection and plated well. We gave this place a B overall but with its interesting and diverse menu, great service and occasionally extraordinary food, we will return.È utile?

Did not let us know that there was a set menu when we made reservation. Set menu did not have enough variety. Price for the food we received was outrageous! Our waiter on the hand was very accommodating. Wll not be going back.È utile?

Unfortunately, it was not a good restaurant experience to begin the new year. Service was too slow (drinks arrived 30 minutes after order and food served well over one hour from order), food was served cold (monk fish was overcooked and rubbery over cold mashed potatoes), and dessert ordered wasn’t the dessert served (one choice was made with alcohol and served to a person in recovery; group was not informed of alcohol content before ordering). Server comped one meal ($109 per person) and apologized. No manager in sight.È utile?
