Since the opening of their acclaimed Restaurant Nicholas in 2000, Chef Nicholas Harary and his wife, Melissa, modernized the concept of fine dining. This mainstay of Red Bank garnered some of the industry’s highest praise, including 15 straight years as Zagat’s highest-rated restaurant in New Jersey, a 4-star review in the New York Times, and a position on several national “best restaurant” lists.

Lucky to get a last minute reservation. Ambience is great. Our server Alexandra was attentive, and knowledge about the menu. She went above and beyond accommodating my food allergies and making sure I was satisfied with the halibut (which was moist and delicious). Ice cream sunday and s’mores was the perfect way to end a delicious meal.

We had the apple salad and it definitely is large enough to split if you are also having a main dish. I would cut back on the dressing a bit, or ask if they can put it on the side. I prefer a salad that is lightly dressed, but it still was excellent. I had the jicama shrimp dish with jasmine rice. I think this is the third time in a row, I have ordered it. Still consistant and a much lighter dish than say the pot pie for sure. We skipped dessert, but I had the pear martini as my dessert. Refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness.

Saw the reviews and decided to try this with family . Place was crowded and parking lot filled at lunchtime. Three of us spent a total of $125 for lunch…. Three soups… and two got the fish sandwiches which came with a side mixed green salad. I got the shrimp taco which came with nothing except three small tacos and a splatter of pico . No sides no salad or fries. Just seemed the portion was very small and really was expecting more for what we paid.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. However, music is to loud and can’t hardly hear your party conversations. I asked to lower it a pinch and that didn’t happen. Not a good place to socialize at the table. Better at the bar to do that.

Excellent food from start to finish. Great energetic vibe, service was spot on and the whole experience did not disappoint. Thie version of an Old Fashioned (termed New Fashioned) on their menu was the best I have had. Steak and Halibut both perfectly cooked.
