Nightbird offers a 12 Course , from chef, owner and James Beard Nominated, Kim Alter. It is an elegant boutique restaurant in the heart of San Francisco (Hayes Valley) embracing California's freshest, seasonal, local ingredients. the price of the menu is $195/person with a 16% service charge, 6% Heathy SF, and tax.
Please understand we have 10 tables in our dining room, for that reason we do have the policy below.
Cancellation policy: If cancelled after the 48 hour window, we charge the card on file $195 per person.
For parties over 4 people, one weeks notice is needed for a cancellation. If cancelled after the 5 working day window, we charge the card on file $195 per person.

NightJar, our private room has a separate entrance at 334 Gough Street and is the perfect setting for intimate parties, dinners, and happy hours. We offer a full bar and a well tailored wine list. Our chef will tailor the 5 course menu to each event, matching seasonal and market availability with guest preferences for $150 per person (exclusive of beverages, tax and service charge of 22%.) Cancelation Policy - We do ask for 5 working days before reservation, if this reservation is cancelled with in the 5 days before your reservation a fee of $150 per person will be applied. This room can accommodate up to 8-14 guests for a seated dinner, bookings at 5:30pm and 8pm.

We dined for NYE. It was our second time here. The food was excellent as before, though there were a couple of dishes we didn’t like (last time we liked everything!). The service is impeccable. It’s expensive, but it’s a special occasion place.

A group of us dined there the night before NYE. We are not from San Francisco and were excited to try this restaurant. It did not disappoint. Our experience at Nightbird was excellent. Five stars all around. We tired two other Michelin Star restaurants while there and this one was the best. The restaurant is small and intimate. The decor and every plate, bowl, and glass are expertly designed and paired to match the meal - for example, our oyster dish was served on a beautiful ceramic plate that looked of an oyster shell. The attention to detail was exceptional. We started with beverages. Two of us purchased cocktails and they did not disappoint. We later moved on to red wine recommended by the staff and that was excellent as well. The menu theme was "Elf" (the movie). It was fun to see their interpretation of the movie scenes in the dishes. Every dish was thoughtful and well executed. Even if it was something that was not your favorite (like a raw oyster), it was still delicious and presented well. Our favorites were the caviar, quail egg with brown butter, scallop dish, bread, short rib, and squab. I personally also loved the bread, sorbet, and dessert. Absolutely exceptional experience and will return if we ever end up in San Francisco again.

Plain and boring value was ridiculously overpriced very disappointing. Would not recommend or experience again.

Each course was perfectly placed and presented. A very special meal and dining experience overall. The team were attentive to our timeframe and made sure we made it to our show on time. Truly excellent Michelin style service. Top notch.

Joyous experience. Our third or fourth time here, fabulous food and service each time. Maz and Jordan are extremely attentive and friendly. The dishes are exquisite and delicious. The Taste of the ocean dish is a must. So good. The menu changes seasonally, with some staples on there year round.

when we made reservations, they said no substitutions. I was a vegetarian and went with a group of meat eaters, and I didn’t want to make a big deal. but it really wasn’t very much for a vegetarian especially given the price it seems disappointing not to be able to options. I gave most of my food to my friends. what I did have, was really really nice. Great job to the team! The service was beautiful, but since we didn’t say we had an event to go to after, it was very very, very, very slow. Some in our party were falling asleep since we didn’t get out until past 9:30 having started at 5:30.

We booked the reservation due to its close proximity to the Davies. The food was fantastic. Each of the 8 courses hit our palates wonderfully different from the previous course. Each tasty morsel provided a multitude of tastes that blended together splendidly.
