Waiststaff made it very uncomfortable to relax standing side by side waiting to pounce on you to move a plate, fill one sip of water etc. It was too much. And sitting right on top of the kitchen was not relaxing at all.

Hands down the best steak restaurant in Newcastle. The staff, Amanda, V and Will, are absolutely amazing. This was my 3rd visit in a month, and I will be back again soon.

The Service And Employees were Amazing and friendly Brilliant Food if your looking for a steakhouse It starts getting a Little Expensive when your adding Sides like greens and Potato (Which in my opinion should be included or at least one side) The tiramisu was a great way to cap off the night after.. it’s up there as one of the best I’ve had since I one I had in Italy 🇮🇹 almost 10 years ago..

Amanda and the team were fantastic. From the moment we walked in, the wine selection to steak (cooked perfectly) and to the service was A+ We will definitely be back, thank you!

All I can say is fantastic 👏👏👏 The highest quality of produce put on a plate to perfection. Highly recommended and the staff were impeccable and very professional. Will be definitely be back and recommending to all. Well done guys !

I had an amazing experience! The service was incredibly personal, everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides were absolutely delicious. The cocktail bar is a standout too, the whole ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. Highly recommend this place for a top-tier dining experience!

We went for NYE dinner. Was a pleasant experience. You could tell it was a bit rusty being that hasn’t been open for long and a lot maybe new?. But Amanda was AMAZING! You can tell she was very experienced and knew the menu well. And the food was nice. We will be back. Want to try the full cocktail list 😍

I did write to Nioka directly but it’s now been a week and there’s been no reply. We went for New Year’s Eve. To say it was underwhelming would be an understatement. I note there were a few other negative reviews written about experiences on NYE on Google reviews. We were asked if we wanted bread. We said “could we please order a drink”. Bread we didn’t order arrived and no gluten free option despite listing that on the reservation. We didn’t want to cause a fuss so just kept it and requested a gf alternative. We had a lovely Spanish waitress. Amanda was great at overseeing and making connections. One guest ordered a glass of wine, Will said there was only one glass left. Came and opened a new bottle to pour her a glass. He then called out “I can probably do two more glasses”. When Will returned my friend pointed out he had a full bottle that he opened at our table… why couldn’t she have that? “Oh do you want the bottle? Of course you can have it, I just found the bottle out the back”. he replied. We thought the restaurant was trying to make more by selling by the glass vs bottle. The Roam wagyu were all not available. Funny that on NY Eve so the lowest priced wagyu was $98. This was the 6 pm seating. The ac was dripping on our table and friend. When our water finally arrived (after asking for it twice) we had to keep moving it to avoid the drips. Prawn and whitefish cappelletti was delicious. The heirloom tomato salad was small. The waitress did not know which steak was ordered by which person. Only a lemon on the plate so couldn’t tell by the sides. Amanda came & got the order from the kitchen to figure out which steak went where. As my friend said “surely staff should know the difference between the Angus rump & wagyu”. Steaks were ordered medium rare came medium well. One sauce was incorrect. Amanda offered a drink for compensation. We did accept. Another bottle of the wine they were out of appeared. 😂 $660 4 pax.

Could not speak more highly of this restaurant. The food was unbelievable and the service outstanding. We asked to speak to the Chef at the end of the night to thank him for such a beautiful meal. We will definitely be back ❤️
