Nobu Atlanta is situated at Phipps Plaza in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood. With influence from Atlanta's lush canopy of trees and Japanese arts and crafts, the bar and lounge area features a white onyx bar volume that sits in front of a 12-foot-long river rock art installation while folded cast glass pendants cast a soft glow on the bar. The dining room takes you to traditional Japanese garden pavilions that were often used for ceremonies and rituals while overscale pendants made from shoji paper create the look of elongated, abstracted paper lanterns. Design language that is a continuation of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's imaginative and innovative culinary offerings celebrates nature and is integrated through the use of different wood tones

The ambience at this place was great and the service was wonderful. However, the food is very expensive for the very small portions that you receive. I paid $45 for lobster bites and I maybe got six small lobster bites. Then we paid about $50 for the sirloin steak and maybe five pieces was included in that meal. Just too expensive for the small amount of food that you received. To add the food was just mediocre. It was nothing spectacular. And the sushi was mid at best.

How is the best quality is never second. Atlanta is a growing Nobu. That is my favorite stop when I’m there.

I won’t recommend this overpriced food place. Somehow it doesn’t seem to be busy due to variety of reasons. It tends to have pull in dubious looking characters. The staff is aggressively selling their menu items and also force you to pay big tips.

The service left a lot to be desired. They forgot our drinks, our table was always dirty and our desert did not arrive on time despite being there for almost 3 hours.
