Located in the heart of the South 1st district, Nomade is a Yucatecan kitchen celebrating fresh coastal seafood, artisanal spices from Merida, and wood-fired cooking. From the team behind the South Congress favorite, Lucky Robot, Chef Jay and restaurateur Adam Weisberg share their experiences in the region and hope to transport you to the lush jungles of the Yucatán.

Heirloom masa, sustainably caught seafood, and artisanal spices are used to create traditional and contemporary Yucatecan dishes. Our bar features a collection of additive free agave spirits and an Latin inspired wine list. Additionally, we are a 100% gluten-free restaurant, seed oil free, and offer an extensive plant-based menu.

    Join us at Nomade this Valentine's Day to experience the romance of the Yucatan, all without ever leaving Austin! Our chefs have designed a deluxe five-course tasting menu highlighting the rich flavors of the Yucatan for you and your Valentine. Enjoy east coast oysters, spiny lobster, tuna crudo, wagyu bavette, and a decadent Mayan chocolate dessert. A plant based option for each course will also be available. Price is per person, does not include drinks, tax, or gratuity. Payment is due at the restaurant.

    We had the most wonderful date night, celebrating my husbands birthday. Our server was amazing and he elevated the overall experience with his natural love/knowledge of the food. The outdoor weatherized patio created a cozy and electric vibe! I will forever crave their hamachi ceviche!

    Food was great, very intimate location with everything on the menu sounding appetizing. The standouts for us were: Duck Panucho, Jaiba Fritas, and the sea bass with curry!

    All six dishes we had (appetizers, man, dessert) were SPOT ON. Very weak thought through - both the taste and the presentation. Super impressed with the unique dishes

    Came to celebrate my birthday. Specifically chose happy hour which we found to be a very good deal for food and drinks. Margaritas and palomas were perfectly balanced and tart. Not sickeninly sweet. We were also able to try a sparkling malbec which was soft fizzy and dry for half off. Our selections included coconut flatbread - the chimichurri was fresh and garlicky. The bread soft. The oysters from PEI were sweet and briney. We loved the sauces that accompanied the cold bar. The hamachi cerviche was bright and a wonderful use of pineapple. We also tried the soft shell tacos which were very tasty. The jicama "tortilla" was the perfect crunk - the dish is small so keep that in mind when ordering. We are suckers for the dish sikil pak and Nomade did not disappointment. It is my favorite chip dip. It was our first time and we were gifted an order of the Tuna Crudo which is a patron favorite order. Served in a half coconut - the tuna was fresh and perfectly cut to mix with the serranos and goldenberry. We were very full by this point and couldn't order more. I recommend sitting outside where the design of the space really shines. I was nervous for the weather in January when I booked - so we sat inside. The casita is very dark and I can see it would get very loud when all the tables are filled. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. He provided wonderful information and recommendations. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday here.

    Continues to impress. Been here 4 times now, tried brunch for the first time. Loved it. Not only have we never had a bad meal here, I don't think we've had a bad bite. All dishes made with care. Service is attentive as well, ambiance is fantastic.
