North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets on our outdoor patio overlooking Forest Lake, or enjoy a table in our panoramic indoor patio, year round.

I had a business lunch. We sat by the window. Server was excellent. Food was good. It was quiet and the setting was very pleasant.

This was our third time eating here, first time sitting inside. Excellent all the way around. A great addition to our area.

Nice menu. A little limited but all good choices. Looking forward to going back in the summer. Will return before then. Very very nice view. Server Ashley was a 10!

Love the food and service here. It is my third visit and the only place that prepares the Salmon exactly how i like it. Most places prepare Salmon over cooked and dry. Their wine selection is delicious as well. Only complaint it the noise level, sometimes making it hard to converse. Not sure anything can be done about that but still worth the visit for the excellent food.

Cozy atmosphere on the lake with excellent food and service. A new find for us that we will visit often! The shrimp & polenta is wonderful as is the truffle deviled egg appetizer! On another visit I had the farro bowl which I loved! Definitely recommend North Point!!!

The view is beautiful. The interior is very nice and clean and minimal. The service was very friendly. It was not busy so the noise level was fine, but I heard it can be a little noisy. We had the Farro bowl and the cheeseburger. Both were absolutely delicious. For lunch the menu is small. It has been open about one year. I can't wait to go back.

Came here with my family for Sunday night dinner and was pleasantly surprised! It's nice to have a higher-end bar and restaurant in the middle of the northwest Chicago suburbs, and even nicer that it's only a 3 minute drive away. Was not aware that the kitchen closes at 5:30 PM on Sunday though and we arrived right at 5 PM. They were still able to serve us a full meal that was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!
