Oak is a contemporary steakhouse located in Alexandria, Virginia, from The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Oak Steakhouse creates a menu showcasing the finest cuts of Certified Angus Beef, along with locally-sourced produce from farms in Virginia and across the nation. Oak Steakhouse is proud to use Certified Angus Beef, renowned for its exceptional quality, with each cut meeting ten exacting standards delivering superior taste and tenderness. Guests can expect a bustling steakhouse experience, with farm-to-table sensibilities, classic cocktails, and a global wine list in a convivial atmosphere. Oak Alexandria features an intimate and inviting dining room, with an open kitchen lined with sleek pewter tile, allowing guests a glimpse of the chefs in action. Rustic reclaimed wood and crimson leather banquettes adorn the space, which seats up to 110 guests in the dining room. A custom-built wine wall displays a selection of Oak's robust wine list which features over 200 bottles. Oak Alexandria also offers an outdoor patio that seats 36, as well as a sophisticated private dining room which is available for up to 30 guests.

It’s such a beautiful, elegant restaurant, set in such a charming area of the North Side Old Town. The decor and lighting created a lovely, intimate ambience. The service was top notch excellent. Food presentation was great and taste was on point. Would definitely recommend.

Seated inappropriately, with sound bouncing off glass walls in a 3/4-closed alcove, and two noisy adjacent tables. Portion sizes poorly decided by kitchen/management, and then defended unreasonably. As a dining experience it left much to be desired.

Hi Stewart, Thank you for taking the time to write and I want to apologize for the experience you had with us. First, if you are ever displeased with where you are seated we will do our best to move you to a table more to your liking. I remember speaking with you and I'm sorry if you think our portion sizes are too large. I would suggest splitting a dish so you and your wife could enjoy a portion more to your liking. I thought taking the dish off your bill and bringing a dessert on us for your anniversary would have helped to make amends, but I guess I misjudged the situation. I would love the chance to speak to you personally on how we could have handled the situation differently. We do hope you and your wife still enjoyed a happy anniversary as was our sincere intention.

Excellent service for our early dinner at 6 pm; but service slowed after 7:00 when more tables were filled. Steaks, oysters, sides all delicious- seafood choices very limited and the catch of the day was lacking. Great wine list-we enjoyed the managers recommendation with our main course. Ambience was cozy, cocktails good and our birthday guest was very happy. We will likely return to Oak again.
