Oak is a contemporary steakhouse located in Alexandria, Virginia, from The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Oak Steakhouse creates a menu showcasing the finest cuts of Certified Angus Beef, along with locally-sourced produce from farms in Virginia and across the nation. Oak Steakhouse is proud to use Certified Angus Beef, renowned for its exceptional quality, with each cut meeting ten exacting standards delivering superior taste and tenderness. Guests can expect a bustling steakhouse experience, with farm-to-table sensibilities, classic cocktails, and a global wine list in a convivial atmosphere. Oak Alexandria features an intimate and inviting dining room, with an open kitchen lined with sleek pewter tile, allowing guests a glimpse of the chefs in action. Rustic reclaimed wood and crimson leather banquettes adorn the space, which seats up to 110 guests in the dining room. A custom-built wine wall displays a selection of Oak's robust wine list which features over 200 bottles. Oak Alexandria also offers an outdoor patio that seats 36, as well as a sophisticated private dining room which is available for up to 30 guests.

The sides, salads and wine were good! The ambiance was also good. 2 of our group ordered a steak that was on special and they both had a hard time eating it. They said it was very fatty, the dry rub wasn’t appealing and it just wasn’t a tasty cut of meat. When the manager asked us how everything turned out, we were honest. He took offense to our feedback and then the service quickly went downhill. A rude comment was also heard mumbled by a staff member. After tip our bill was $700 for 4 people and 2 of them left very disappointed and all 4 of us left with a weird feeling. Feedback should be taken as constructive, especially when you seeked it out.

Thank you to the staff, our waiter Jose, and the GM Todd for making our date night so special. My all time favorites: everything! lol Cinn City drink East Coast Oysters Oysters Rockefeller Steak Frites 6oz Petit Filet Mignon Crispy Brussel Sprouts Yukon Gold Potato Puree Croissant Bread Pudding Perfect for date night! Price does not match quality. You could eat at a Michelin star for the price point and you're definitely not receiving Michelin quality. Solidly fine food. Nothing special.

My most sincere apologies that you felt the quality was not what you expected. We use only Certified Angus Beef and butcher in house daily. No one wishes the price of beef was less than us, but we do try to pass along the savings of butchering to our guests. That being said, please call me so we can discuss your expereince with us. It’s such a beautiful, elegant restaurant, set in such a charming area of the North Side Old Town. The decor and lighting created a lovely, intimate ambience. The service was top notch excellent. Food presentation was great and taste was on point. Would definitely recommend.

Seated inappropriately, with sound bouncing off glass walls in a 3/4-closed alcove, and two noisy adjacent tables. Portion sizes poorly decided by kitchen/management, and then defended unreasonably. As a dining experience it left much to be desired.

Hi Stewart, Thank you for taking the time to write and I want to apologize for the experience you had with us. First, if you are ever displeased with where you are seated we will do our best to move you to a table more to your liking. I remember speaking with you and I'm sorry if you think our portion sizes are too large. I would suggest splitting a dish so you and your wife could enjoy a portion more to your liking. I thought taking the dish off your bill and bringing a dessert on us for your anniversary would have helped to make amends, but I guess I misjudged the situation. I would love the chance to speak to you personally on how we could have handled the situation differently. We do hope you and your wife still enjoyed a happy anniversary as was our sincere intention.
