   Food was outstanding. Cooked to perfection. Our waiter Ryan G was a menu expert whose recommendations made us the perfect meal. Incredible service, ambience yum yum yum!

   Casual vibe (good classic American rock music soundtrack), high end food, good service, beautiful classic old Charleston row house with heart pine floors. Standout dishes are the Beef Carpaccio starter and Boneless Ribeye with excellent char. Tell them about your birthday guest, and they'll automatically set out menus with the celebrant's age printed across it! Nice touch.

   Great dining experience. Wonderful steaks and sides. Professional service. Needs a dress code. Big price tag, but one of the few places in Charleston that is worth it. We've been going there ever since it first opened. Solid pedigree of head chefs.

   We went for our anniversary dinner, it was delicious fillet and sides, excellent service as the waiter was helpful in our selection, ambience was great and music was good!

   Food and service were incredible. We were able to get a last minute reservation for an early dinner. We saw a group of 4 come right behind us without a reservation and they were treated kindly and able to be seated within a few minutes (not always the case without reservations). The atmosphere is just wonderful, located in a very old building with so much character on three separate levels/dining areas. Our server, Ryan, missed no detail in providing impeccable service for us. Every single thing was as promised, or even better, and the food was simply delicious, from start to finish. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the ribeye was perfect. We shared a large piece of 7 layer chocolate cake for dessert that put an exclamation point on the whole experience. We each put The Oak at the top of our list for when we return to Charleston and can’t wait to get back!

    Food is delicious. Onion rings are to die for. Went for my birthday and felt loved and welcomed by the staff. They made a birthday menu for me to keep and even got to choose a desert.
