We were there for restaurant week and the grouper was amazing. The service was spot on. As with most restaurant week menus, you tend to order more so it did get a bit pricey when you added the drinks and extras

An evening out with friends . I was visiting Chicago from Atlanta and met friends for dinner. Ocean Prime did not disappoint! My last visit was when I lived in Chicago 9 years ago. The ambiance was fabulous, -we had a table by the window overlooking Wacker and Michigan- so the view was spectacular. It was restaurant week and most of ordered from that portion of the menu. The Food and service were very good. Grouper, salmon and filet mignon were all good. And the butter cake was scrumptious. Ocean Prime is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago !!

We decided to try Ocean Prime as we were staying at London House. The service was great, the drinks were excellent. My husband and I shared a ribeye and each picked out our own sides even though they were sharable size. The food was good, not anything to get excited about but still good. The only thing we didn’t like was the seating arrangements, it’s a dim atmosphere which would lead one to think more quiet ambiance— but you are so close to the other tables you can hear everyone’s conversations around you.

Our experience was exceptional the general manger Darren made my birthday dinner so special. He went above and beyond!! I truly felt like a VIP guest. I highly highly recommend this location!

One of the best experience I’ve had. My Server is one very amazing. He was very accommodating with our peanut allergy and the whole day. He make sure that we were doing well. It was my boyfriend‘s birthday as well and the dessert they provided was amazing and the food overall I will definitely recommend and will definitely be back

Upon arrival was led to dining room where one of my party had been seated. Requested to move to bar area (had pointed the table out to the hostess when we were heading to the dining room). Inquired with our server in the dining room about moving and he said it would be fine. My party moved to table I had originally pointed out. Upon sitting at the table in the bar area, a server in the area informed use that we could not sit there unless approved by the hostess. I shared that I had inquired previously. In a very rude and short tone, he began to object us sitting there during which time the hostess walked by and said it was ok. The table was initially in the rude server’s area. He walked past our table and waited on tables adjacent to us and NEVER came back to our table to serve us. After about 20 minutes, a member of our party went to the hostess station to complain. The person who did so is a senior executive at company and has hosted several groups in the private dining rooms there. He reference it and said it was the WORST service he’d ever experienced at the restaurant. The rude server was a slight gentleman in his late 20’s - early 30’s effeminate and white. A manager came to our table and apologized. He assigned another server who had just started his shift. The new server was an older middle aged white gentleman who was tall and wore glasses. He was very attentive and provided excellent service. He mentioned that he and one other male server worked that area at night. He redeemed the overall experience. I’m sorry that I don’t remember his name. He even went so far as to have the hostess create a file, using my name and phone number so that when I make future reservations, the notes would indicate to place me at the window booth where we were seated in the bar area.
