   Generally, a good choice for seafood in Boston. Not too busy on a Friday night, I still felt a bit unattended. I was seated at one of the smaller tables near the bar, which meant that I couldn’t really view the dining room in total and I felt a little isolated as a result. In terms of the food, the shrimp and grits I had as a starter was fine, but certainly not the best I’ve ever had. It needed more spice and not enough gravy on the grits. The salmon entrée, which I ordered black and blue (blackened with blue cheese butter) was quite good. A little overly blackened, but still one of the best pieces of salmon I’ve ever had and perfectly cooked. Surprisingly there was no bread service. I thought this was unusual given the caliber of the restaurant. I liked the option of ordering the fish of your choice simply prepared as you like. The wine list was only OK. I would’ve thought for a higher end restaurant it would have been a bit more thoughtful. Close to both Faneuil Hall and the financial district.

   Outstanding. The restaurant is beautiful, in a restored bank building. The tables are very well spaced and the noise level quite low. The staff is friendly and professional. The food quality is great - we had various items from the dinner menu and they were each excellent.

   For the prices, some of the food was “fine” while others were very good (oysters, the Ramen). Main complaint is that the service was slow (though it was more than half empty on a Wednesday), some of the food (bisque) had been sitting around a while.

   Service wasn’t great, understaffed, we were being served by the bar tender which was unusual and had to keep asking for his attention as the bar was busy Food was very salty, we left a lot of food and didn’t want to take away in a box

   Sorry to say. Everything was terrible Service was at its worse. Food was not good. Management tried their best to make it up to us. But considering so many places to go and that we chose there. Very disappointing

   This was our fourth experience at Oceanaire in Boston. We're very leery of "chains" but every time we visit, we're treated with exceptional service and outstanding, fresh seafood - no chain feel whatsoever. It is as close as one can expect for a fine dining experience in the city!

   I think our waiter was having a bad day, I think normally the service is very good as well. The manager and other servers were wonderful. Otherwise I would have given it a5 star rating. We’ll definitely will be going back.

    We had a really nice dinner at Oceanaire seafood. The food was great and our server was excellent. Only disappointing thing were the number of bones left behind in the branzino. Would still recommend though.
