Situated in a glass conservatory overlooking the River Walk, Ocho serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks indoors and on our breezeway. Ocho has created a menu rooted in the hotel’s pan-Latin cultural influences from Mexico, Cuba and Texas. The staff were excellent! Friendly and accommodating. Beautiful location, lovely cocktails and wonderful meal. The show afterwards was fun as well!

If visiting the Tobin Center, this is the place to dine. Right on the River Walk and less than a block to the center. Great food and have a special menu for show nights.

We finally experienced Ocho and enjoyed it! It's small...make a reservation if you don't want to risk being turned away. Food is more of a Puerto Rican fusion, and even if on the pricier side, it is excellent. We opted to share the appetizer "platter"....basically a Cuban with a side of tostones, and it was wonderful. Big enough for a small meal for two. We then shared the chicken dish...name escapes me...and it was spot on, as well. Great flavors, nice presentation, really satisfying. The bar seems to offer a wide array of cocktails, wine, and beer. My husband had a mojito -- on the small side but nicely made. My glass of Malbec was great. No room for dessert but I'm sure it was good. Ocho would be a fabulous spot for lunch (for the view), or later in the year when evening light remains. The view out the large glass panels looks to be fantastic, although the River Walk Christmas lighting does not carry down that far, unfortunately. Overall , we would go here again for a meal or as a lovely spot for a drink and appetizer. It's right by the Tobin, as well...excellent pre-show location for dinner and the kind waiter did as if we were attending the show in order to be mindful of timing. How nice!

Made reservations as we were attending an event at the Tobin Center. We were a party of 5 and were seated outside. I was not advised that we would be seated outside - we were not physically prepared to sit in a cool damp air. Meanwhile, a table for five inside sat vacant the entire 90 minutes we were there. We won’t be back.

Service was inattentive to put in nicely. The food was lovely, but there are places with equally good food and far better service and ambiance.

We brunch here every time we are in town. In fact, this time we came to brunch at Ocho. The food is CLASSIC and the flavors are always right where they should be. Our waitress was very attentive and so helpful. Well done and thank you for another enjoyable afternoon.

Food was very good. We were there for brunch. I was a bit confused as I’m Venezuelan, so I know the food very well. The food tasted awesome but it wasn’t at all what I expected. The “guasacaca” wasn’t Venezuelan guasacaca, nor was anything else that was mentioned Venezuelan. However, it tasted excellent. I would have named it something else and I would have been happy otherwise.

It was cold outside and they had all the windows open so people can watch the float parade? We would easily be able to see the floats go by even with their windows closed. Multiple tables left because it was just so cold to sit and eat. Had plans later in the evening so we had to stay and eat. Food was good. Would have been perfect if it was warm while we ate.
