Situated in a glass conservatory overlooking the River Walk, Ocho serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks indoors and on our breezeway. If visiting the Tobin Center, this is the place to dine. Right on the River Walk and less than a block to the center. Great food and have a special menu for show nights.

Made reservations as we were attending an event at the Tobin Center. We were a party of 5 and were seated outside. I was not advised that we would be seated outside - we were not physically prepared to sit in a cool damp air. Meanwhile, a table for five inside sat vacant the entire 90 minutes we were there. We won’t be back.

Service was inattentive to put in nicely. The food was lovely, but there are places with equally good food and far better service and ambiance.

We brunch here every time we are in town. In fact, this time we came to brunch at Ocho. The food is CLASSIC and the flavors are always right where they should be. Our waitress was very attentive and so helpful. Well done and thank you for another enjoyable afternoon.

Food was very good. We were there for brunch. I was a bit confused as I’m Venezuelan, so I know the food very well. The food tasted awesome but it wasn’t at all what I expected. The “guasacaca” wasn’t Venezuelan guasacaca, nor was anything else that was mentioned Venezuelan. However, it tasted excellent. I would have named it something else and I would have been happy otherwise.

It was cold outside and they had all the windows open so people can watch the float parade? We would easily be able to see the floats go by even with their windows closed. Multiple tables left because it was just so cold to sit and eat. Had plans later in the evening so we had to stay and eat. Food was good. Would have been perfect if it was warm while we ate.

This is my second time at this restaurant, came back because of the food and needed to impress an important VP from our company. Unfortunately we didn’t experience good service. The server seemed annoyed, told our VIP guest that she couldn’t get Iced Tea, period. A few minutes later he came back and rectified the situation, but the rest of the service was very poor. In the middle of the dinner I even felt compelled to get up and ask the server if he was ok. His attitude and demeanor was so arrogant that his excuse of “we are busy” made it worst, when I could only see four tables total. Check was wrong, our VIP pointed it out (he missed items on the check) and not even for that, we got a nice gesture of this guy. What a shame … place is nice and the food is amazing.
