At Odeum Restaurant, Chef Calisi combines Roman and Greek cuisine with Spanish influences, and includes his creative and fun flair to traditional dishes. The Chef spares no expense with the best octopus imported from Spain and the salmon imported from Scotland, fresh local organic vegetables, and grass-fed beef from Australia and the Midwest, yet provides his customers with a reasonably priced menu, fit for every budget. Chef Calisi has not only trained with the very best in his field at the finest restaurants in New York and Italy, but also has a Michelin star to tuck in his toque, which he received during his tenure as Executive Chef and Partner at Dio Deka in Los Gatos. At Odeum, Chef Calisi gives each customer a Michelin Star experience, from his personal welcoming at the door, to his phenomenal culinary masterpieces, and exquisite plating and presentation.

We were excited to try this location after reading some of the reviews, however our experience was not as great as others. We arrived at the entrance to be not greeted, but told to “just wait there.” I was a little taken back, but figured they must be busy. We were seated shortly thereafter on the back row which offered several small tables seated closely to other couples dining. Not my favorite setup, but again, we figured they must always be full so seating is crowded. After we sat down, I overheard the couple next to us mention that they had been waiting 20 minutes for a dessert. They were obviously frustrated. The waiter brought their dish about 5 minutes later and didn’t charge them for the dish because of the delay. We ordered the mushrooms and beet salad. Both were good, but not as good as I thought they would be based on the reviews. We wanted to try the spring rolls and braised short rib. Unfortunately they did not have either item. We waited for about 15 minutes for a beet salad. Our waiter came to the table thinking we had already finished our dishes when they had never even arrived. Ultimately, it seemed like they had some logistical issues within the kitchen causing miscommunication and delays. I would not recommend to friends based on our experience.

This was the most disappointing experience!! There were six in out party, all adults. We walked in and the restaurant t had been set up with extra tables so much so that it was a tight maze to get to our table. Our waiter seemed very overwhelmed and devoid of any personality . We got a bottle of champagne fairly quickly , but then it was down hill from there. Our reservation was at 6:30. This was a prix fixe menu for Valentines Day. Our first course came out at 7:30. I had a tough almost inedible artichoke. The flavor was good, but it was tough and spiny. An hour later , we got our second course. I had the pasta , which was fantastic! Best thing we had all night. By that time our server had forgotten to ask us about of third course orders , so those courses took another hour. I ordered the filet which was absolutely cold. Our final bill was $1100.00. Which we paid at 10:30 . Absolutely unacceptable and more than a little disappointing .

Odeum is not just the best restaurant in Morgan Hill. It’s one of the best in all of South Bay. The taste and plating and service are all outstanding.

Wonderful food! The flavors the chef puts out are on another level. Superb service and great craft cocktails.. Tahbk you, we will be back.

First time to Odium and we loved it! We were greeted warmly and seated quickly (we were a few minutes early for our reservation. We started with the best spanakopita I have ever had - as well as an eggplant marinara appetizer - For our entree, we had baked paccheri - WOW!, chicken saltimbocca and gnocchi bolognese. Food was phenomenal. We had a great view of the bartender and were very impressed - had a smoky old fashioned - beautifully presented - and an espresso martini I already cannot wait to go back for. While a bit hard to figure out how to get inside, there was ample parking and the vibe in the restaurant was energetic and welcoming. Loved the decor - and the whole evening. We live almost an hour away and we are already planning our next time to come back. Presley was our server and while a little slow to start (my husband's smoky drink was brought out about 5 minutes before mine), and ya know - that first drink is an important one :) After that tiny little issue, she was awesome. Thank you for a fabulous evening! Cannot wait to see you again soon!

Great food and ambiance. Drinks were a little slow and the music is at too loud of a volume for a fine dining restaurant in our opinion

This is consistently one of the best restaurants in Morgan Hill. From appetizer to dessert, the food was excellent. It's not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for a more. Great ambiance, although it's a small-ish place so it can get a little loud. You will not be disappointed!
