Disappointed... Took my family to dinner there a couple years ago to celebrate my wifeʻs birthday and it was great. Went there again to celebrate her birthday tonight and while the food is still really good, the service left a lot to be desired. We were not offered the opportunity to sit in the back outdoor section in the back and were instead seated in the front dining area (where we were asked to help move a couple of tables together). It was disappointing since we enjoyed the outdoor area so much last time, but figured it was closed or it was too early for seating there. However, a short while after being seated, another group was asked if they wanted to sit in the outdoor area. This happened a couple of times during our time there. I overheard someone say to only offer this option to those with reservations (which we had). The servers were not rude or anything, but seemed rather indifferent. Our waters were never refilled until we were just about ready to leave and when my wife had a question about her dish, the server barely gave her a couple of words. If this were Dennys or some chain restaurant, Iʻd get it, but I certainly expected more, especially to celebrate my wifeʻs birthday.

The food is superb! Entire staff is friendly and efficient. Chef Kim is passionate about her restaurant and her customers.

Our party loved the creative vegetarian options on the menu. Truffle mandoo is delicious!

The food was very good as usual. The server was maybe having a bad day. Wasn't pleasant but food came out as ordered and on time.

Family run authentic Korean cuisine with amazing flavours and dishes! The service was simple, but friendly and attentive. The addition of of a liquor license would be welcomed but not a no-go. Must-have food in a modest environment. The experience was made even more enjoyable by the Lady and her son who showed us the Aloha spirit and paid the bill for our party of five…Mahalo and be assured we will pay it forward!

I’ve always been a fan of O’Kim’s. The food does not disappoint, I love the black sesame salad dressing and my pork belly brûlée and ban chan was enjoyable. They also remembered that we were celebrating a birthday! A must-go. Tip: if you go early (11:30am) on Saturday, you may be fortunate enough to get parking on Nu`anu St!

I keep coming back! The food and folks here are just excellent ...they keep changing the menu enough that there is always something new to try. While some might not give 5 stars for ambience...the back patio, kind of funky is my kind of intimate outdoor space. It's also byob which I like too
