   We were on the Spectator Event set menu, the starter on which was good (cod cheeks) but the main course (chicken Milanese) was poor.

   The food was nice and the ambience was lovely with candles and fantastic decor, but the service was so slow. We were having a set meal before an event (which had been advertised as such). In the end we had to forgo our dessert otherwise we would have been late. We even had to go to the front desk to pay. Disappointing and increasingly stressful. Oh, but they did manage to add a 13% service charge, which being v English, and late for my event, I paid. 😖

   A mixed experience, some delicious food, the mains were ll great. One of the sides - greens - was really small. The puddings were average - disappointing sticky toffee pudding, and even more disappointing brioche Bakewell- shockingly really like a soggy white bread imitation of a Bakewell. Service friendly, warm welcoming and professional. Choose carefully and you might eat really tasty food and feel you’ve been with friendly people.

   Met an ex-colleague for breakfast at this delightful place. Warm and friendly greeting on arrival, excellent service and had a very pleasant time. Opted for the salmon eggs benedict and a couple of long black coffees. Salmon was of good quality, eggs cooked perfectly and the coffee was premium quality. This is a very charming place and we will be coming back to try out the Sunday lunch menu.

   Delicious food in a charming atmosphere. Glazed salmon, chicken schnitzel, rump steak and chopped salad were all delicious. The food was fresh and healthy and very innovative preparation of vegetables like fennel and celeriac.

   We had high hopes based on reviews from others, but our experience was poor. Our server apparently didn’t put our order in properly. When the manager realized we still didn’t have drinks, he said there was a technical glitch, but that food and drinks were coming. After we eventually got drinks, he came back to say the food order hadn’t been submitted either, and it’d be another 15 minutes for food. It was longer than that. He comped part of the meal cost, but it took forever to get the bill so we could finally leave.
