   Locale rumoroso e troppo poco illuminato. Purtroppo bastano 3 cretini che parlano ad alta voce per rovinarti la cena. Pietanze che dovrebbero essere italiane comunque interpretate. Ma un italiano lo vogliamo mettere in cucina?!

   Once again perfect experience, thank you Chad (manager) for everything. Our server Yehor was also on the spot with explanations and recommendations with food and drinks.

   Food was outstanding, no denying that. However we made the reservation well ahead of our trip to Chicago and requested a special table and let them know we were celebrating our anniversary, but no accommodations were made. Anniversary wasn’t even acknowledged. The waitress did not even introduce herself to us. She took our drink order and came back and said “are you ready to order”, we replied “oh are you our waitress?” And she said “yes, ready to order?”. It was disappointing and she was not personable at all. We had an app and shared a small pasta and left. Trying again somewhere else, because that was not how we’d like to say we spent our anniversary. Bummer, because the pasta was amazing.

   This is the kind of Italian restaurant that does not stand out from the crowd. OK food in OK surroundings. We had chicken escalope in panini and a avocado toast. The chicken was dry, the fries soggy, the garnish snd the toast was good. They had a wine list with 50 percent off bargains “except dinner Friday and Saturday”. Brunch is dinner, we were told, so the wine was full price. Service was adequate as was the atmosphere, but a memorable meal it was not. We visited during a very raunchy St Patrick celebration in Chicago, which might have increased the noise level in the place a couple of extra notches.

   The food was good, the ambiance was extremely loud, the service was quick. Our server was a bit awkward which made us feel a bit awkward. Some highlights: - the food was fresh and hot - accommodated our reservation even after being late, much appreciated! -the food was delicious -we sat by the open windows Low lights: -we ate about half or less than half our meal so that we had room for dessert but when we got home we realized we had about a 1/4 of our food. REALLY strange. -the server couldn’t tell me where the service fee goes. I don’t mind paying a little more for others BUT if the staff doesn’t even know where it goes for certain post covid, it seems a little sketch. There’s been A LOT of restaurants that actually steal that service fee and don’t actually give it to staff so weird that the waiter didn’t know if they actually got it. Overall a good experience but there are so many other Italian spots that I’d rather try!
