When you come to Opheem, you get an insight into the inner workings of my mind. We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why? Because to evolve and adapt is what makes us human, and cooking is what sets us apart from the animals.

    A Culinary Masterpiece at Opheem Dining at Opheem was an unforgettable experience that left us in awe of both the artistry and passion behind its exceptional cuisine. Opting for the 5-course tasting menu during our visit on Wednesday evening, we were treated to a journey of flavours that were as refined as they were inventive. Each dish was a testament to the creative genius of Chef Aktar Islam and his team, blending traditional Indian influences with modern techniques in ways that delighted the senses. From the very first bite, it was clear that each plate had been crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The balance of flavours, the textures, and the presentation were flawless—elevating every course into a work of art. It was impossible to pick a favourite dish as every course brought something unique to the table, showcasing a remarkable depth of culinary skill. The service was equally impeccable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, their knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings enhancing the entire experience. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, creating an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that perfectly complemented the meal. The highlight of the evening, however, was our post-dinner conversation with Chef Aktar Islam. His dedication to his craft and his customers was evident in every word, and it was truly inspiring to hear firsthand about his culinary philosophy. It is rare to encounter a chef so committed to pushing boundaries while maintaining such a profound respect for the origins of his cuisine. Opheem is not just a restaurant; it is an experience—one that transcends dining and enters the realm of art. We left feeling not only satisfied but deeply inspired. This is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates extraordinary food and exceptional hospitality. We cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning to see what new creations await us.

    Me and my wife went for our anniversary and we were certainly not dissapointed. Everything about the experience was spot on, not just the food (which was exceptional) but the way the evening was organised. We started in the lounge with a drink and some incredible bites to eat, then up to the restaurant and having the chefs bring the food to your table, explaining about the various dishes, then back to the lounge for another drink and some additional desserts. We felt so relaxed all night and the cost seems a lot but it's worth every penny. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and they were all working their socks off, a credit to themselves and Opheem.

    A very special meal, every course was meticulously created and served. We loved the experience, spending time in the lounge as well as the restaurant. The service was spectacular. Worth every penny, and deserving of its 2 Michelin stars.

    Second visit to Opheem, previously experienced the 5 course Lunch taster, which on balance was equally good to the 10 course taster. Great location, service is first class, these guys try very hard and the 2 michelin stars speaks for it self.

    Incredible experience, the food was out of this world. Very expensive as all Micheline star restaurants are, but worth every penny. To have Aktar there himself serving us alk and working in the kitchen was the finishing touch.

    The food was amazing,also the staff were courteous,funny and knowledgeable ( especially the sommelier). A nice long evening of great food and drink,not rushed,nice and leisurely. We would highly recommend.

    Both food and wine flight were outstanding. It was also great to meet the Chef. Wonderful experience.

    We were fortunate enough to have Akhtar on service. Our overall experience was superb from the moment we entered Opheem. We have eaten at numerous Michelin starred restaurants throughout the country. Opheem is certainly as good as any. Front of house and serving staff are excellent and prepared to go the extra mile. Loved it! We’ll be back.
